For this practice today,

We are going to do a very simple and quick practice that you can really do anytime and anyplace.

It's a practice that I go to for when I want to come back to myself,

Have a moment of grounding and centering,

A bit of solidness within.

So you can do this seated or you can do it stood up.

I have to say my preference is stood up,

Ideally outside,

So I can tilt my head up to the sky and just feel the elements,

Be it a little bit of a wind or the sun,

Maybe a bit of drizzle.

Or just connecting with my bare skin on my face.

I like to close my eyes because that just turns off,

For what is for most people,

The primary sense.

Just take a moment to,

Whether you're seated or stood up,

To really feel your feet on the ground.

Maybe rolling them backwards and forwards,

Just to really get that sense of connection,

Feeling.

And just noticing how your body feels when you consciously connect to the earth in this way.

And take your right hand and just simply place it on your energetic heart.

And then placing your left hand on top of your right hand and imagining that you are cupping your own heart into your hands.

And thinking about affording yourself the same generosity,

The same kindness,

The same tenderness that you would if you were cupping a small sparrow or robin in your hands right now.

Imagine if this small bird had a clipped wing,

How gentle and tender you would be.

And just reflecting this into yourself.

Holding your own heart so gently and letting yourself know that you matter.

And then just letting these words come to you and through you and rest within you.

I place my own healing hands on my own dear heart.

For it is my intention and my desire to give my heart all that I have to give.

To make it strong.

To fill it with courage.

To be vulnerable.

To love and feel myself being loved.

Because it is my intention to give my heart all that I have to give.

And just allow this to feel and expand within your heart and your chest.

Maybe you can feel a warmth spreading gently and slowly.

And then just bringing that back to remind yourself to have that gentleness,

That softness,

That tenderness with your own heart.

That you can do this at any time,

In any place.

Just bringing yourself back to yourself.

To feel that centering,

To feel that love and that care and that you matter.

Remembering it is your intention to give your heart all that you have to give.

To make it feel loved and to love.

To be strong,

Courageous and vulnerable.

So it can shine in the way that it was always meant to.

I invite you just to take a couple of breaths with your hands remaining on your heart,

Your energetic heart.

And then when you feel ready,

Just to open your eyes and release your hands.

That concludes this short practice and I hope it's been enjoyable for you.

Thank you.
