So first stand up and you feel the feet on the floor gravity pulling you to watch the floor your chin towards your chest you lengthen up to lengthen up and grounding down so this can be a meditation in itself really feel that you're standing knees unlocked so you're relaxed and you are aware and in addition to this posture you you want to bend your knees a bit more your hips go a bit down and then when you have done that you're still stable so not like you're falling falling backwards relax but more active position your knees are a bit more bent and they would normally be and then you let your hands float up very slowly till they're halfway like you're holding a ball a big skippy ball or you're like you would be hugging a tree that kind of way of rounding your arms like parallel to your shoulders 90-degree angle you let them hang there so knees bent arms in halfway in the air circling so you can see part of your inner hands and you let it hang there and the only thing you do is relax relax your feet relax your legs relax your buttock that's your back next the front of your body flex your arms even though you feel that your arms are hanging in the air and requires a little bit of strength you're still relaxing and you don't move the body so body moves by itself you allow it to move by itself but you don't move now we'll do this exercise for a good five minutes but feel really free to stop earlier if it's a very heavy for your arms and then continue relaxing the shoulders your neck and your head standing aware you don't need to do the awareness standing here grounded on the floor and then you also notice that there's nothing to be done but just to be here you don't need to do the relaxation we're just giving attention noticing that in your mind's eye you relax it not by movement you keep your arms the last few moments in the air notice that they have become heavy your body becomes warmer and if you are very comfortable in this position and you can stay a bit longer in it if you feel it's getting heavy let your arms go very very slowly go down stay in awareness even when we're going to a more closure of this exercise having your hands down you can still have your knees locked but a bit more straight and put your hands just below the navel this is an exercise from the Qigong when they work a lot with energy energy streams in the body but below the navel is an important energy point so you can center it there by just putting your hands there for a minute or so and then you can also release this last part of this exercise your arms can hang next to the body and we end up like we started you're standing actively here on your meditation mat or somewhere else feeling again the groundedness with the floor and lengthening up towards the sky
