This podcast brings some tips and affirmations to help you with a better night of sleep. Get a pen and paper and keep the affirmations right beside your bed so you can read them every night before closing your eyes. Remember to always lay down on your back and do some really deep and slow breathing after reading the affirmations. Do not forget that you are training your body and mind, so it might take a little while before you are completely satisfied with your new sleeping pattern. Good night!

Hi there,

My name is Malu Renau and I'm here tonight or today to help you to have a better sleep.

So,

I'm going to talk a little bit to help you figure out if you are really prepared to go to bed and then we are going to do some affirmations together so you can have a really relaxing and restorative sleep.

So first thing we have to do is to turn off the lights.

Turn off the TV and let me tell you,

If you have a TV in your bedroom,

I think you should consider taking it out.

Your bedroom is a sacred place.

It's where your body rests and your soul is finally free to take in your daily experiences,

To think about how the other days are going to be.

So first thing we have to do to have a good night of sleep is make a sacred place of our bedroom.

As much care as we have,

There is no such thing as too much care with this sacred place.

So be sure you have an organized room that is free of clutter and all the space in your bed is free for you and your partner if there is one.

The lights should be down about one hour before we intend to go to sleep.

All the electronic devices should be also down.

There are a couple of things that are important to do to have a really good night of sleep.

One of them is exercising.

Did you exercise today?

It is also important to have a light dinner or an early dinner so by the time you go to bed your stomach is not working and you are digesting and you will be more relaxed to sleep.

And if you go to sleep too long after dinner,

Just drink a really nice cup of tea.

A tea that will help you relax and that will be great for a good night of sleep.

One thing that I like to do also that I would love to suggest is that you ground every day a little bit.

I am talking about really grounding yourself,

Going outside,

Put your feet on the earth and just ground yourself.

Just let go of all that energy and receive the electrons that will help you to clean your body.

And stay on earth,

Earthing for at least 40 minutes a day and that can also help you to have a great night of sleep.

Before lying down in bed,

It is very good if we stretch.

Just like we do when we wake up,

We should do also before lying down.

Just stretch and have this great feeling that your body is losing up and ready to relax before lying down.

Now please grab a pen and a paper to write down the affirmations that I am going to tell you and I suggest that you keep this paper right beside your bed so you can read it before going to sleep every night.

I choose to relax my body to sleep.

My dear spirit,

I choose to have a restorative and good night of sleep.

My dear spirit,

I choose to sleep through the night.

My dear spirit,

I choose to wake up 8 o'clock for example.

My dear spirit,

I deserve to rest and relax.

My dear soul,

I deserve to rest and relax.

My dear spirit,

I leave all my preoccupations outside my bedroom to have a great night of sleep.

My dear soul,

All the preoccupations that I have in my mind are now over and I can deal with them tomorrow as I wake up.

So writing down these affirmations,

Preparing your bedroom to be a sacred place,

A place where you are going to rest,

Connect with your higher self and relax your body.

Taking care of your diet,

Taking care of your body,

I am sure this will help you to improve your sleep and wake up fresh and ready to go.
