Welcome to Moon Energy practice.

Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat,

Whether it's on the floor,

In a chair,

Or lying in your bed,

Possibly with a pillow behind your back leaning against the wall.

Once you have established your seat and your comfort,

Take a moment to begin to rock the body in a circular motion clockwise,

Forming Kundalini circles,

Initiating the movement from your base.

As you're soothing the body and coming into the moment,

You may realize that you have become aware of your breathing.

You can reverse the circles in the opposite direction,

Drawing in a gentle amount of prana and energy into the body,

Feeling grounded and supportive.

Do this rocking for a few more moments,

Eventually finding your central axis tall and supported from crown to tail,

An equal meeting of the front body in the back body,

Right side and left side body,

And above and below,

Drawing your awareness inward to feeling your body breathing,

Tuning into the ebb and flow that's taking place within the body,

Noticing the shape of your breath,

How it is appearing for you right now.

Ever so gently draw your awareness up to the touch of breath through the nostrils,

Noticing the breath within the nose.

The breath is unforced,

Rising and falling through and along the nasal membrane.

Continue to watch your effortless,

Smooth breath here at the nose.

We're going to come into a practice now called chandra bhedana.

This translates in essence to moon piercing breath.

As we work with idanadi,

The energy channel which governs the lunar aspect of the body,

Mind and spirit,

This is considered to be soothing,

Receptive,

Calming,

Feminine aspect of our being.

Continue to watch the breath as it moves through and along the nasal membrane.

Gently we bring the right hand thumb up against the right nostril opening.

No need to push hard on the nostril.

Just place the thumb up gently and ever so softly sip the inhale through the left side nostril.

Close the left side nostril with your right ring fingertip,

Open the right side nostril and exhale out the right.

Close the right,

Open the left,

Inhale through the left.

Close the left,

Open the right,

Exhale out the right.

Close the right,

Open the left,

Inhale through the left.

Soft sipping of breath in and up.

Closing off the left side nostril,

Open the right and exhale out the right.

Continue on your own.

See and sense a calming energy moving through you.

Continue in this manner,

Inhaling through the left,

Exhaling out the right for a few more minutes.

You may even wish to sense or feel a small full moon suspended just below the left nostril.

And as you're sipping your gentle inhale,

You draw the essence of the moon.

It's healing luminous vapors through the left side nostril,

Allowing them to saturate and fill your body and mind and releasing out the right.

The soothing,

Calming vapors of the moon,

Luminous,

Calming,

Filling your body,

Your mind.

Take three more.

The breath is smooth and patient.

Unhurried.

When you're finished,

You can lower your hand and return to an effortless breath,

Gazing inward.

Feel free to continue practicing for a few more minutes on your own or resting the mind on the attention of the breath.

Natural,

Smooth and patient.

May you sleep well this evening.

Namaste.
