Hello,
Welcome to Reconnect Daily,
A space for you to create,
To remember,
And to strengthen
your relationship to your own interior dimension,
And to create,
Remember,
And strengthen the
relationship that you hold with the great web of life.
Today's practice is a prayer.
This is a prayer that I speak daily,
A ritual,
And sometimes I speak it multiple times if
there are moments where I feel like I need to call on faith,
Moments where I want to
feel less alone,
Or moments where I need some grounding.
This can be used as a daily prayer,
As a way to infuse grace into your daily experience of life,
Into your state of being,
Or this
can be used as something to return to when you might need to remember.
Before we get
started,
We'll drop into our breath to make sure that we are speaking from a place of
resonance within our bodies.
We'll begin together by three clearing breaths.
Gently
inhale through the nose,
Traveling low down into the belly,
Expanding,
Creating space,
And then an exhale through the mouth,
Letting the breath fall out of you.
So together we will
breathe.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth,
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth,
Letting your body let go.
Inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the
mouth.
Just become aware of your breath now.
Notice the way your body moves.
Does your belly
rise?
Does your chest inflate?
Where does your breath travel to?
When you start opening the
communication with your body,
Does your breath bring your awareness to any certain places and
spaces?
Use your breath as your awareness.
Let it guide your attention and your focus into places
that may have something to say.
A breath practice just for a couple of minutes to really get us
into a space of deep reverence,
Deep presence,
Where we can allow the voice of our soul to speak.
So for this practice,
I just want you to focus on inhaling through the left side of your body.
So
taking the breath up through the sole of your left foot,
Up the leg,
Up through the left side of your
body,
Through the left nostril,
Pausing briefly at the space of your third eye,
And then breathing
out down the body through the right nostril.
Letting the breath travel down,
Down through the chest,
The hips,
Through the leg,
Down to the ankle and out of the sole of your right foot,
Creating a circle.
In through the left
side of the body,
Up the body,
Through the sole of the foot,
Breathing up through the left nostril,
Pausing at the top,
Breathing out through the right nostril,
Down the body,
Breath descending out through the right foot,
Returning to the
earth,
Completing the circle.
We're going to continue like this for a minute,
Up through the left side of the body,
Pausing at the top,
Down the right side of the body,
Returning to the earth,
Becoming part of the circle,
Part of the cycle.
Remembering that the breath that you
receive is the same breath that your ancestors breathed.
It's the same breath that the trees give and receive.
It is the air currents that birds soar upon.
It is the creator of waves upon the ocean.
The mover of sands and soil.
In up the body through the left side,
Down through the right side of the body.
Just letting go of that breath,
Full presence and
awareness in this moment.
Divine Spirit,
Have mercy on me.
Divine Mother,
May you remind me that this is all only ever love.
May you remind me that the power of creation lives inside of my body.
And Divine Mother,
May you take all that is mine that is too heavy for me to carry.
Divine Spirit,
May you protect me.
May you give me resilience,
Courage,
And strength.
Divine Mother,
I ask for grace,
Compassion,
And kindness.
May I move through life with these qualities at the forefront of my heart.
To the land,
Sea,
And sky country that I live and work upon,
I give you my blessings and I invite your blessings in return.
I acknowledge the original and traditional custodians of this land.
I honor and pay my respects to the ancestors.
To my ancestors and to all the ancestors.
I thank my teachers and their teachers.
And I thank all those that give me wisdom and guidance.
May I be held by love.
May I trust the voice of my body.
May I speak the truth of my soul.
May I trust the voice of my body.
May I speak the truth of my soul.
And I trust exactly where I am in this moment.
Where I am in this moment.
And so it is.
Prayer is a beautiful way to create more grace in your life.
To infuse gratitude and love and the grounding for living beings for your existence.
For the complete absurdity and joy and despair and grief and ecstasy of being alive.
So come back here when you feel you need a reminding.
I am here.
We are here.
Thank you.
I love you.
I will always love you.
Have a beautiful rest of your time.
Until we share space again.
