Hello dear friend,
And welcome to Reconnect Daily,
A safe space for you to simply be,
To remember,
To connect,
And to ultimately arrive into a state of presence and oneness.
Today's meditation is called The Natural World as Kin.
We are going to remember,
And to begin,
We will breathe into the relationship that we hold with the natural world around us.
The breath will be deep,
Expansive,
Clearing,
Enriching,
And I invite you to fully surrender.
It will be a four count in,
A four count out,
For a cycle of twelve,
And then we will hold our exhale at the end.
We're going to repeat through this three times.
I encourage you to go slowly,
Softly in the first round,
Perhaps a little deeper in the second as you create and find more room within yourself.
And in that third round,
Use the breath as the touch of your awareness.
Roam your internal landscapes,
Rewild yourself.
It will be a breath in through the nose,
Fully inhaling,
Filling the body with the breath.
And the exhale will be a release through the mouth,
Let the breath fall out of you.
A true surrender.
I will guide you through,
So make your final preparations,
Make sure you're comfortable or you won't be interrupted.
Closing the eyes down,
And with me.
In,
Two,
Three,
Out,
Three,
Four.
In,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Two,
Three,
Out,
Out.
Letting everything go.
In,
Fully expanding.
Out,
Full release and surrender.
In,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Last one.
And hold your exhale here.
Just holding the exhale.
Submerging.
Elevating.
Floating.
Expand your awareness into the entire sensational field of your body,
Of your being.
Land in yourself.
Going for round two now.
Perhaps just a little bit deeper.
Make sure you're expanding through the chest,
The ribs and the belly.
Inflating,
Deflating,
Expanding,
Contracting.
The breath of life moves through us.
With me.
In,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
In,
Out,
Out,
In.
Last one.
In,
Holding this exhale.
Surrendering to the pocket of bliss at the end of your breath.
Feeling your body get heavier.
Feeling the ground come up to meet you,
To hold you.
Just be here.
I am here.
I am here.
I am here.
Going now for the third round.
The final round.
Breathe deep,
My friend.
Clear any stagnant energy.
Release anything that does not serve you.
Cut the cords to energy that is not yours.
Let the breath wash through you.
Let my mind wash through you.
Give yourself to her and she will give herself to you.
With me.
In,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Out,
In.
Fully receiving your breath.
Out.
Do not take your breath.
Receive your breath.
In,
In.
Breathe deep,
My friend.
In.
Last one.
In.
Your exhale in.
Let the spirit of Gaia wrap her arms around you.
When you feel ready,
Just returning to a breath that feels comfortable and natural for you.
Let the light of your awareness be placed in the centre of your being.
Let your breath pull into every crevice and crack.
Let the light of your awareness make contact with the light of your soul.
Let the spirit of breath join in holy union with the soul that lives deep within you.
Settling into the breath now,
We are going to go on a journey.
I want you to visualise a woodland,
A forest.
I want it to span endlessly to every horizon around you.
You know that you are at the centre.
You are at the heart of the forest.
And you stand in a clearing of a thousand years.
You know that these trees have been here since the beginning of time itself.
They are ancient and they are wise.
You feel the cold earth beneath your feet.
You squidge your toes into the soil.
You feel the dampness,
The aliveness,
Entering through the soles of your feet until it spreads all the way to your fingertips.
You realise that you are a part of this ecosystem too.
You breathe the same air as the ancient trees around you.
You reach out to the one that calls you forth and you place your hand on her mark.
Greet her like a friend.
Ask permission to touch her and open yourself to receive the gift of her life.
The gift of gratitude is the medicine that our mother earth needs.
The understanding that every living being of creation is a being.
They are alive.
They are intelligent.
They see us.
But we do not see them.
We must awaken.
There is a term called species loneliness.
And it is described as a deep unnamed sadness stemming from estrangement from the rest of creation.
It comes from the loss of relationship to the land.
We do not enter into a cyclical relationship with the land that we walk on,
The oceans that we swim in,
The stars that we lie under.
It is broken.
But right here in this moment we can greet this place,
This forest.
And we can greet all the beings as friends.
And we can give them the gift of our gratitude for sustaining all of life.
Let yourself be held here in deep sacred reverence for all of creation.
Place your palms on the rough bark of the trees.
Feel your feet rooted into the ground beneath you.
Feel the circle,
The circle of life,
The breath that moves through you is the breath that is made possible through the trees of this earth.
You would not be alive without them.
So open your heart.
Breathe deep my friend.
Inhale the scent of the woodlands.
Inhale the reverence and the deep respect for our friends of the forest.
Hear the whisper in the leaves.
It is here that spirit sings her songs.
You are a part of this.
All of nature is our kin.
We do not have to be alone and neither do they.
Every living being.
Immerse yourself in the world that created you.
Come back to your breath.
Realize that the body that is you is made of the earth.
You are the earth.
You are consciousness embodied.
You are part heaven.
You are meeting in the middle,
In the center of your heart.
You are creation embodied.
Greatest,
Most magnificent.
Always place your palms on the mother tree and let yourself be held.
The earth loves you.
She loves you.
