We have all been through it; the ending of a relationship. This can be in friendships, romantic connections, family and everything in between and around. When we have decided that a certain relationship in our life is no longer serving or nourishing us and we want to say goodbye - our energy can still be in connection to them, both mentally and/or physically. This meditation is designed to release and let go, so we may reclaim our space.

Hello to wherever my voice may find your ears today.

My name is Davida of Mahi Meditation and I have created my first meditation on the inside timer for you that is designed to help you let go.

This letting go pertains especially to someone in your life that you have been wanting to say goodbye to for a while but you still feel quite connected to in one way or another.

During this meditation it is helpful to have a candle in front of you as a symbol of the connection.

If you do not have one in close proximity know that we can do without and we will work with your imagination.

Whenever you are ready please look at a place for yourself where you can sit in peace and as much silence as can be found at this hour.

When you have arrived sit in a comfortable position and if possible have your knees lower than your hips so that energy may flow naturally downwards.

Our hands are resting on our upper legs.

Our palms are facing down.

This is after all about an inward journey.

When you have a physical candle present light it now.

From here I invite you to close your eyes and relax all the small muscles around your eyelids and around your eyebrows.

Feel free to unclench your teeth if you are holding some tension there.

Allowing yourself to fully arrive in your body and into this meditation.

From here we direct our inward attention to the air passing into our nostrils.

Notice how it's coming in just slightly colder than when it leaves our nostrils.

Observe where the breath goes within the body without needing to change it or alter it in any way.

We simply observe.

When there is judgment or distraction all we need to do is time and time again observe.

We maintain the realization that distractions will simply always be there.

Whether this is internal or external.

Our job is not to eradicate these distractions but to return to the stillness within.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Our attention continually resumes at the air passing through giving us life.

Imagine the person with who the connection no longer serves and nourishes you a few meters out in front of you.

As they are standing there find your attention back on your breath by way of observing.

Maybe your breath is slightly changing or reacting to the energy of this person.

Or maybe you are experiencing a sensation in a different location within the body.

Whatever it is there is no need to judge or label.

All we need to do is observe.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Staying with the breath and staying within our center we once again imagine a person in front of us.

Now within your mind or using the air of your voice you are stating your intention into their direction.

I will first repeat the three sentences in one go and then sentence by sentence with a pause in between where you can repeat them.

Thank you for your presence in my life.

I have grown by getting to know you.

From here I choose to release this connection.

Remember to when you state this speak gently but firmly and repeat it as many times as necessary for the vibration of the words to be fully acknowledged.

From here I will repeat sentence by sentence and leave a space in between so you can repeat.

Thank you for your presence in my life.

I have grown by getting to know you.

From here I choose to release this connection.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Now please feel free to pause this meditation and repeat as many times as you feel necessary.

When you have reached a moment within this mantra where you feel ready repeat the last part again imagining the person in front of you.

From here I choose to release this connection.

With the energy of this intention we return to the breath on where it flows to when it enters our nostrils.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

When you have the candle burning in front of you in physicality gently open your eyes and gaze into its fire.

When the candle is present within your mind envision the fire on the wick.

The fire being present in between you and the person that you want to say goodbye to.

Gaze into its flame.

This element stands in representation of your connection.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

State from here I choose to release this connection.

Now we arrive at the final stage of the meditation whenever you feel ready.

In a few breaths we inhale just a little bit deeper than you would normally do expanding your chest and your abdomen a little wider.

And on the exhale we place the intention on the breath on the release and blow out the flame.

With the last step as well if it feels necessary repeat.

Use the intention of the release and rest it on the out breath.

Here we go.

Exhale from here I choose to release this connection.

Exhale blow out the flame.

Now observe.

How does this feel within?

Notice if there's any sensation that arises and hold space for it letting it express whatever it needs to say.

We have now arrived at the end of this recording but know that there is no need for you to end the meditation just yet if you want to dedicate a little bit more time.

Thank you for creating this space for yourself today.

And remember when we release the old we create space for the new to come into our lives.

I really loved this! Your voice is ideal and the flow of the meditation so well done. It allows for the listener to go at their own pace and to connect with the practice.
