Welcome to this guided meditation for spaciousness. In less than 15 minutes, this practice is here to help you slow down, soften, and expand. We’ll focus on creating more space within—so you can feel more calm, more present, and more open. And from that inner spaciousness, you’ll begin to feel your capacity grow—to take up space, to create, to move through life with a little more ease.

This is a meditation for space.

Get comfortable,

If that's sitting up or lying down.

Whatever position makes you feel relaxed.

And when you get settled in,

Gently close your eyes and drop into your body and focus your attention on your heart.

If you feel like it's natural,

Place your hands there,

Focusing all your care and attention to your sweet heart.

And with your focus,

Imagine your heart glowing from within your body.

With each breath,

It's getting a little brighter,

A warm glow that begins to light up your entire body with warmth,

With love,

With spaciousness.

Take another slow,

Deep but gentle breath in through your nose and slowly out through your mouth,

Making the exhale a little longer than the inhale,

But really taking your time and finding what breath feels natural and good,

Deep and nourishing.

And with each of your breaths,

Relax your body a bit more into your space.

Begin to relax your body from the inside,

From inside your head,

Your jaw,

Your neck,

Shoulders,

Inside your back,

Picturing each vertebra relaxing and making more space around it,

Your chest and stomach,

Your pelvis,

Your hips and buttocks,

All relaxing from the inside and gently letting go of any tension inside your legs,

Your shins,

Your calves and your sweet feet.

And once you've relaxed all these parts,

Let go even more fully of any tension you're holding onto.

You don't need to hold onto any of it.

You don't need to hold onto anything for the length of this meditation.

And staying inside your body,

Imagine all the space there,

All the space you have and need to feel calm,

Centered and grounded,

All the empty space there.

Imagine the atoms that make up your body,

Mostly empty space,

Giving us all the room we need.

Imagine the space around your lungs,

Allowing for each inhale to expand within us,

All the space that we need to thrive.

And imagine that space expanding to also allow for any extra room you need,

Expanding at your will to allow you to grow as big as you want.

And the more you grow into your strength,

The bigger that space grows,

To allow for the biggest to the ever expanding you,

The true you that is bigger than this body.

And as your inside space expands to allow for more of you,

It starts to affect the outside.

The space outside of you begins to allow for this bigger self.

And now imagine this self expanding beyond the confines of your body,

The glow from your heart,

From your body,

Spreading warmth and love out into the world around you.

Your calm,

Grounded,

Wise self,

Your biggest self,

Who always knows what to do,

Always knows she is safe,

Always knows the next right step.

And you start to play with how much space you can now take up.

You have all the space you need inside of you and outside of you,

As much as you wish,

As much as you dream.

Your soul starts reaching further,

Taking up more,

Getting bigger and bigger.

Maybe she reaches to the ends of the earth,

Maybe into the sky,

Into the universe.

Maybe she roots down into the ground,

Growing deeper and deeper,

Spreading wider and wider.

She now knows she is safe to do so,

She is safe in this body,

She is taken care of.

She can grow,

Radiate,

Bloom.

Any place she was holding back is now free to flourish.

And imagine what this does around her,

Around you.

What else grows and blooms because of you?

All the others that find permission within themselves,

Because of your lead,

Because of your example of thriving,

Because of all the space you now take up,

Because of how big you are,

How vast.

And now,

With this new space around you,

Gently reel yourself back in,

Very slowly and with all your love and care.

This space is yours now.

Outside of you,

You can take up all the room you need,

It is all yours.

You can go back to it,

Or expand beyond it.

You can go in any direction.

You can breathe deeply knowing that you can be big,

As big as you want or need to be.

So now,

Bring this expanded self back,

Her sweet energy,

Slowly and effortlessly coming home,

Back to your body,

Back to your chest,

Back to your heart.

And you notice that now this space within seems to feel more expansive as well.

It's grown to fit and make space for this limitless version of you.

Within you now,

It feels easier to breathe,

It feels free,

It feels safe.

Notice how you are breathing now,

Only notice,

And take a few more breaths in a way that feels natural to you,

To your body,

Maybe how it feels natural to your expanded self.

And taking your time,

Find an organic place to shift out of the meditation,

A place to slowly and gently open your eyes.

And once you've done that,

In your own time,

Without any forcing,

Maybe look around you.

Notice any differences you feel in your body,

Differences you sense in the space you're in.

If you feel called to,

Write some things down,

What you noticed in the meditation,

What you're into your day,

Noticing changes in how you show up in your space,

In your day,

In your life.
