Welcome to this acceptance and letting go meditation.
This is a meditation which we based around the breath but also as a metaphor for life that we must accept aspects of our life but we also must let it go and the breath is beautiful,
A beautiful teacher in this as all our breath must,
We must accept the breath to come in okay to survive but we also must let that breath go.
Again this is no different in life if we don't want to suffer and we want to live more fulfilling is we must allow things in our life to come in not avert not put up barriers allow it in we also must let it go okay we almost let it go not hold on not attach.
So we use the breath as the tool today but also as a coaching tool for life.
So I'd like you to find a comfortable chair a place where you can cultivate great awareness for you whatever that may be and simply sitting standing laying whatever that is just bringing your attention to your body for a moment.
Just noticing the body any feelings that may arise any sensations that might be stronger than others just noticing those just exploring them with curiosity and kindness and just slowing down to check in.
Now I'd like you to bring your attention to the breath.
Just noticing the breath breathing easily and normally just noticing it just noticing it coming in and noticing it leaving just for a moment just continue that process in your own time.
Now this meditation is going to have a really simple mantra to it of let the breath come in as you breathe in let the breath go as it leaves okay and again this is the metaphor for life let it come in let it go.
So I'm going to start you off on the mantra and then you'll find your own pace with this mantra and with your own breath and I'll continue to guide you through.
So let the breath come in let the breath go let it come in let it go.
Just repeating that mantra as you as your breath comes in and as it leaves let it come in let it go let it come in let it go let it come in let it go and in your own pace now continue that mantra softly in the background as you continue to breathe and bring your attention to your breath just repeating the mantra let it come in and let it go.
This meditation may bring up some feelings of what you are holding on to and what you're not letting go.
Let's continue just to notice those feelings if they do arise and then gently bringing your attention back to the mantra back to the breath of letting come in and letting go.
Let it come in.
Let it go.
Let it come in and let it go.
Just following the breath following the passages of entering through the nose where it fills up and then the passage of it leaving.
So mind starts to wander,
It starts to story tell a little bit just simply bringing it back to the mantra.
Let it come in and let it go.
Let it come in and let it go.
Let it come in and let it go.
Let it come in.
Let it go.
Just simply noticing not getting tangled up in thoughts about what you're holding on to what's not being accepted but just simply our attention right now is with the breath the breathing process and noticing how it enters and leaves the body.
In a moment I'll ring a bell to end the formal meditation and then after the bell I'd like you to reflect a little bit on the meditation process.
Just noticing how you feel after that meditation and just if there were any feelings that were really prominent of what you are not letting into your life or that you are unwilling to let go of a really great practice is to just journal those down and really reflect on anything within that meditation that popped up for you strongly and start to explore what they are.
Sometimes the meditations like this can really evoke something that's hidden underneath and that comes to the surface so that ability just to jot some notes down and reflect on that could be really helpful.
I'm hopeful that this meditation did help you and it's a really great practice for when you feel a little bit stuck and you find that you know life's getting a little bit overwhelming.
Have a great day.

Nothing is ours to keep not even our own breath... Wow leaning to accept this is monumental in our journey through this life. Holding on brings pain. To learn to let go of the past who you once were is progression. Thank you.

Thank you for this lovely and comforting meditation. I’ve had trauma that has haunted me for nearly 5 years now, and I’m still not fully recovered despite years of therapy. I’ve suffered a long time. But I find these meditations about letting it go, help me tremendously to no longer make myself suffer and be a victim. I appreciate you so much for this.
