Before you begin this breastfeeding meditation,
It's really important that you find a relaxed,
Comfortable position.
Taking the time now to adjust your position if needed.
Only using any extra blankets or cushions to ensure that you are as comfortable as you can be during this meditation today.
And if it feels comfortable,
You can gently allow your eyes to close,
Knowing that you will respond anytime you need to during this meditation if your baby needs you.
So beginning by connecting with your breath.
That wonderful breath.
That breath that nourishes your body so that you can nourish your baby.
Taking some calm,
Easy breaths.
Releasing any tension with every out-breath.
Taking your awareness to your body.
Noticing if there are any areas that feel tense or tight.
And just seeing if you can relax into those areas a little more.
Maybe beginning at the very top of your head.
And gently working your way down through your body.
Releasing and relaxing the eyes and the jaw.
Seeing if you can relax and release your shoulders.
Relaxing the whole of your upper body as much as you can.
Releasing into your hips.
Resting back into the surface beneath or behind the body.
As you relax the thighs,
The lower legs and the feet so that your whole body feels comfortably relaxed.
You enjoy this wonderful time with your baby,
Knowing that you are providing the best possible care by breastfeeding.
And know that as you cherish this special time with your baby,
You will be well rewarded with more milk and better health.
Trusting that your body knows what to do.
Your body was designed to protect and to nourish your baby.
Protecting and nourishing your baby whilst in the womb.
And you and your baby,
Always in perfect harmony together.
Take a moment now to notice how your bare skin touches your baby's skin.
And that contact brings a calm sense of serenity to your mind and your body.
And even just the thought of your baby's skin touching yours causes your breast to let down even more milk.
You enjoy that warm,
Tingly feeling.
Every time you notice your milk flowing down into your breast,
Your baby opening their mouth wide enough to latch on.
And as your baby sucks,
You hold them in your arms,
Snug against you.
The both of you in perfect harmony together.
And you and your baby are so relaxed,
So comfortable.
And the thought of your baby making that sucking motion brings even more milk into your breast.
And it brings you so much joy that you can provide enough nutrition for your baby.
And as you relax here,
Breastfeeding.
You only allow in happy thoughts.
Thoughts that make you feel good.
Thoughts that make you feel centered.
And thoughts that fill you with peace and joy.
As you rest and relax here,
In your mind,
Take a moment to talk to your baby.
Reminding them that they are wanted.
That they are loved.
And they are welcomed.
Let your baby know just how much you love being their mother.
And that you are so happy to provide milk and nourishment for them.
You know that your little one is so new to the world.
So they need extra patience.
As they learn how to breastfeed.
Taking the time to thank your body.
Thanking your body for the milk it produces.
Thanking your body for your good health.
Appreciating the wonderful role your body is playing in helping to grow and to nourish your baby every day.
Your body brings in an abundance of milk.
Your milk flows so easily down your milk ducts.
Giving you trust in your body's ability to produce just the right amount of milk for your baby.
Knowing that every time you listen to this meditation,
You are giving your body and your mind time to rest and relax.
Giving the opportunity to slow down so that you can relax easily into feeding your baby every day.
Becoming emotionally calmer and more confident as you and your baby learn and grow together.
Nourishing your body with what it needs.
Giving water and giving your body the right amount of nourishment in order to be strong and to be healthy.
Relaxing with your baby gives you precious time and you know that this time will never come again.
Even if the days seem to stretch out far ahead of you.
You know that you are not alone in your journey and that there are mothers also on a similar journey.
And this brings a deep sense of connectedness to the outer world.
So taking a few more moments to enjoy this special time with your baby before we bring this meditation to a close.
Sitting here relaxing and enjoying this wonderful time to slow down and to connect.
If you prefer to stay here relaxing for a while then that's okay.
Just count yourself up from one to five when you feel ready to do so.
If you feel ready to finish this meditation now I'm going to count up from one to five and when I reach five you will be wide awake.
One you're slowly beginning to put some awareness into your body.
Two beginning to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Three feeling more and more awake.
Four becoming aware of your surroundings.
Five feeling full of energy feeling rested and trusting in the process that you and your body will continue to nourish your baby throughout your time breastfeeding giving your baby exactly what it needs and allowing yourself the time to connect to relax to unwind.
Thanks for watching!
