Hey Dear, In this meditation, we are going to open our awareness to everything: bodily sensations, emotions, and thoughts. Open Awareness Meditation is the practice of being the observer of it all. To just be with it, without any judgments. I will guide you through that practice and you will also have some quiet space to practice on your own. For me, Open Awareness Meditation is the most essential practice of mindfulness, as I can adapt it to my daily life and make my whole life into a meditation on its own.

Welcome to meditation.

In today's meditation we're gonna focus on creating that space of open awareness where everything,

Thoughts,

Emotions,

Feelings in the body can just be.

So take your time to arrive.

Find a comfortable sitting position with your back straight but relaxed and rest your hands on your knees with your palms facing up or down.

Whatever feels more comfortable for you.

And let's take the time to scan our body,

Scan our emotions and our mind.

We're starting with the body,

Just arriving there,

Feeling the seat bones,

Sitting on floor,

Feeling your hands resting on our knees and we're feeling the energy in our body.

Our whole body is one.

Now we can take a turn and see how our emotions are going.

How are we feeling right now?

Are we feeling happy,

Content or maybe stressed or angry?

Whatever it might be,

Just observe it.

Just let it be.

And now take the time to scan our mind.

What thoughts do we have?

What are we thinking about?

And whatever thought is coming up,

Just see it as a cloud of perception rising in the sky.

Let it be and observe it.

As well,

Feel your breath breathing in to your nostrils and breathing out to your mouth.

Feel the rising and falling of your chest on the in and out breath.

Feel your whole body,

Your breath,

Your emotions,

Your thoughts.

And let's stay in that space.

I will give you some quiet space to practice the open awareness.

You can let thoughts,

Emotions or feelings just rise.

There's no need to judge them.

There's no need to push them away.

Just let them be as they are.

Just observe them like clouds in the sky.

Just a gentle reminder for you.

If you're losing yourself in thoughts or in an emotion,

That's okay.

But try to bring your attention back to that observer state,

Observing it all.

Not just one emotion or one thought,

But the whole of it.

Body,

Your mind,

Your emotions.

Be the observer.

And now gently come back to your body.

Feel how you're sitting on the ground.

Feel your breath coming into your nostrils,

Breathing in to your chest,

Your abdomen and breathing out to the mouth.

Feel the emotions and your mind space,

Your thoughts and just be with it.

And start to ground yourself back to this moment.

What are you hearing?

What are you feeling in this moment?

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Look around with that space of open awareness and take that into your day.
