Welcome everyone to this meditation for connecting to Mother Earth.

Be the tree.

I invite you to begin in a comfortable position.

If you can,

Place your legs crossed over one another in our Lotus position.

The way the beautiful flower rests itself gently on earth.

Just imagine yourself as if you are a tree.

Imagine yourself in nature.

You're sitting on the ground and you're becoming one with the earth.

You're listening to all the sounds that are around you.

The sound of the birds,

The rustling of the leaves.

Even with our physical eyes closed we can get a vision of squirrels running up the tree,

Of the leaves changing as the seasons come and go.

So I want you to be the tree but also be the observer of the tree.

And just observe everything that is happening around this tree and everything that is happening within this tree.

Rooted in the ground,

Comfortably situated on a beautiful hillside or perhaps in a park.

Maybe somewhere that has meaning to you.

A park across the street where you grew up perhaps.

And so now I want you to add a third element.

You get to be the tree.

You get to be the observer of the tree.

And now I want you to add that representation of you as a child who used to go outdoors and play in nature and be at one with the trees,

Climbing them,

Attaching ropes to them,

Breathing in the oxygen from them.

We've really gotten away from that on this planet being outdoors.

So I want us to remember that feeling of what it was like before the technology when there was less television,

Less to consume in our minds.

And remember the joy that you would have as a child and you would go outside and play games with your friends,

Take a sled ride,

Hop on a bike,

And see if you can find that inside yourself again.

That childlike feeling,

The joy of playing on a playground,

Spending time with friends outside,

Laughing until it was time to go home.

And your joy came from being.

And that's what being is.

Joyful expressions,

Fun,

And laughter.

When we spend time outdoors,

Outside,

We are connecting to our beingness,

Our natural resource.

And all around us are the visions of Source who whisper through the trees,

The laughter of children,

The loving embrace,

The highest mountain,

The longest river,

Most of these forgotten places that not many visitors spend time in anymore.

But the easiest,

Most effective way to remember who you are,

To connect back to Source,

To be guided,

Is nature.

It's the trees and the leaves,

The branches,

The soil,

The grass,

The sand,

The salty air,

The waves,

The snow-capped mountains,

The sunlight,

The moonlight.

All of these are pieces of Source energy that we all have access to if we use our free will to go outdoors,

Spend time in nature,

Put away devices,

And just be.

So I invite you now to just sit under the tree.

You were the tree,

You observed the trees,

You remember the tree.

Now we just get to be under the tree and just sit.

I offer the idea to find a book,

Perhaps a journal,

Bring a pen or a pencil.

Just find a spot to sit outdoors and be at one with nature,

With no agendas.

Just with your thoughts and reminding yourself of what you want to create,

What joys,

What desires,

What needs,

What wants.

And put all those distractions aside so you can resource back to the loving arms of all.

And that's where the answers come.

That's where the downloads come in,

Where the information resides.

Nothing outside wins when we are in now.

To sit in nature,

To be with the tree,

To be with your thoughts is living in now.

It's putting away distractions,

Emptying our minds of all the thoughts and beliefs,

And beginning again.

And every time you do,

You remember more of the pieces of the puzzle of unconditional love.

Who you are,

Why you are here,

What's possible,

And perhaps what's stopping you.

What is blocking you.

It's how we unblock ourselves when we resource with our natural resources.

And now I want you to see yourself getting up from the ground and I want you to gently place your hands on the tree,

Expressing gratitude,

Wrapping your arms around it,

And just thanking it for the oxygen that it brings.

For the joy it brought so many sitting in the park,

Or outside your front door,

Or in the backyard.

Almost as if that tree was like a loving grandpa or an uncle who you admired so much with their stoic wisdom.

And just saying thank you.

And that tree thanks you right back for being gentle,

For allowing it to just be.

Without trimming its leaves,

Or cutting its branches,

For loving it exactly as it is,

In whatever way it grows.

Whether the roots overgrow,

Whether the leaves change or don't change,

Whether that tree bears fruit or no fruit,

That you honored and accepted that tree exactly as it is.

And for that it is truly grateful.

And remember that about yourself as you sat on the ground getting to be the tree.

To love yourself,

To have reverence for yourself exactly as you did the tree.

For every branch,

Every leaf.

Whether your roots run deep or shallow,

Whether you bear fruit,

Whether your leaves ever changed,

How tall you grew,

How short you grew.

Just loving yourself exactly as you are.

The tree doesn't compete,

It just offers life-giving oxygen,

Beauty,

Grace.

And can you be that tree offering grace to others,

Not competing for the oxygen,

And just knowing that we all have a role to play,

And having reverence for life.

And though we may walk away and forget to go out in nature,

And be one with the sand and the sea,

And the grass and the leaves,

We always have a choice to just be.

To go back into nature and be at one with all.

And I thank you for loving yourself exactly the way a tree loves itself.

You are an equal part of Mother Earth.

So today,

Go outdoors,

Be in nature,

Hug a tree,

Walk in the grass,

Toes in the sand,

Stop and smell the roses,

Anything to show your reverence for Mother Nature and all its bounty and glory.

Wishing you a most magical day on this planet of Earth.

Namaste.

You you you you

Just lovely. Thank you Laura. I wish all kids could wake to this meditation each morning and return to their roots. Devices most certainly need to be minimized and nature needs to be uplifted again.
