Hey,

In this audio I'm going to be doing some soft-spoken affirmations and some positive reassurance for you to listen to before bed or as you are trying to fall asleep and this is aimed to help you with anxiety or insomnia or if you are just struggling right now and it's making it difficult for you to fall asleep then this is for you and I'm going to talk to you as a friend and as someone who deserves to have a friend to help them when they are struggling so if you get comfortable you can lay down in bed rest your head on your pillow wrap yourself up with a blanket or your quilt give yourself a nice cozy place to relax feeling comfortable and calm and cozy and I want you to just allow your breathing to be slow and comfortable if you're feeling worried or anxious just notice your breathing for a moment and if it's feeling a bit frantic then try to make each inhale deeper bringing the breath in through your nose and allowing that breath to reach down to the pit of your stomach and with each exhale imagine you are pushing all of the air out of your body releasing any breath and any negativity that you are holding on to and just carry on with that deep breathing breathing in all the way down feeling the airflow down to the pit of your stomach noticing the rise and fall in your chest and in your stomach with every deep breath and every exhale and now I just want to take a moment to remind you of a few things I want to remind you that it's completely okay to have a down day it's completely okay to have some times when things feel difficult and we may feel as though we are struggling more than usual it's okay and however you are feeling whatever your thoughts are all of these thoughts and feelings are completely valid and everything that you are thinking and feeling just know that things will get better however you are feeling it will get better whatever you are thinking it will get better things may feel difficult right now but I know that you will get through this there will come a time when you will look back at this moment and you will look back on this time in your life and you will say to yourself you got through that as difficult as it sometimes felt you got through it and I'm sure that there are times in your life right now that you could look back on and think wow I actually got through that and I hope that that thought can give you a feeling of comfort and a feeling of knowing knowing that you are strong knowing that you are resilient knowing that there's a strength inside of you that keeps you going every day it's that strength inside of you that has brought you here right now to this moment this moment where you feel as though things are getting difficult and in your heart you know that you will get through this but you you need to just have some time to let yourself get through it you just need time you need to allow yourself to slowly get through this without putting too much pressure on yourself as it's okay it's okay to feel this way when things are tough as long as you always always always always remind yourself that it's going to get better I know that it can seem a bit cliche sometimes but the truth really is that you have to have these hard times to really truly appreciate the good times because when you have these hard times and then you have good times the good times feel so amazing and you can truly appreciate every moment of the good times because you know what it feels like to have struggled so right now whilst you are feeling that struggle try to think about the future think about how good it is going to feel think about how amazing it's going to be when this time has passed and you are there living your future living feeling so unbelievably happy feeling this feeling of relief and trust me I know that sometimes in our minds we can make ourselves believe that things won't get better sometimes we look at the future and think how are we going to possibly get through this and I know that it does sometimes take time but with time you will get through this and with time this will one day be just a memory of your strength and just a memory of the time that you managed to get through so in these difficult times when you are struggling try to look to the future think about the things that you want to achieve think about the things that would make you feel truly happy spend some time now just thinking about the things that really bring you joy in life and it doesn't have to be something crazy it can be something like a TV show that you love a book that you love to read something that you love to eat anything a place that you used to walk that made you feel happy like a beach or a park a place that you have beautiful memories from when you feel down and when you are struggling try to have a moment where you can picture yourself in that happy place again remember how much warmth you had inside yourself in that place and remind yourself that that feeling inside of you is something that you can access again there will be places again that you visit where you will feel so relaxed and happy and so safe and so at peace there will be times in your life again where you will feel pure joy anytime that you are struggling just remind yourself of that that everything is going to be okay and you will get through this and things will get better and you will find happiness again I hope that this could help you to find a positive mindset to give you a moment of friendship a reminder that you're going to be okay and that you've got this I hope that you sleep well and remember that this is always here for you anytime that you need a reminder

I’m grieving the loss of my beloved father. I’m devastated by how much pain he suffered in his last few weeks. Honestly, this meditation is more helpful to me than any of the guided meditations I’ve found so far that are specifically intended for grief and mourning. I will be coming back to this one daily.
