Welcome.
Today I'd like to help you face adversity with meditation.
Find a comfortable seat or even go for a walk,
Preferably in nature.
Connect to your breath deeply,
Gently,
Slowly.
Bring your attention back to the sensation in your body.
Notice any tensions that you may have,
And anytime you breathe out,
Let them go through an open mouth.
Meditation develops awareness about our thinking and psychological states.
While it is hard to control the first thought that will arise,
It is easier to control the second one,
More predictable.
Notice when you start having negative thoughts or you start ruminating.
Keep breathing in and out.
I invite you to play this game with your mind,
Where when you catch yourself having negative thoughts or ruminating or having fear building up,
Tell your mind,
Oh hey fear,
I hear you,
But right now I don't need you,
And breathe out.
Thank you for stepping by to remind me that I have control over my thoughts,
But I would rather stay with some lightness in my heart right now.
See you another time when I more need you.
Right now I don't.
And keep breathing,
Softly,
Gently,
Filling up your body with air,
With light,
With love.
By not taking yourself and your thoughts too seriously,
You will bring more joy and this feeling of lightness into your heart and into your life.
You may even start laughing while doing this exercise or by playing this game with your mind.
Now bring your attention back to your breath and imagine this beautiful light shining from your heart,
Like a powerful connection with the world around you,
With the universe.
Open your mouth and let go of any heaviness as you breathe out.
Then keep taking long deep breaths,
Just like that.
Oftentimes we ruminate the same thoughts over and over again.
We get stuck in the past,
Thinking about what we could have done or not done,
But we can never go back.
How can we make peace with the past to move forward?
Breathe in and breathe out.
We can learn from previous choices we made,
Not identifying them as good or bad,
Because choices are just choices.
Accept what was and choose now what is and what will be.
Breathe in and breathe out.
What kind of energy do you want to carry into your life?
Keep breathing,
Keeping this connection with your heart and mind and body.
When you find yourself with a repeating loop of thoughts in your mind,
Seek out a quiet space.
Sit down,
Breathe deeply,
And keep your focus on your breathing by simply being.
May this short meditation help you find more control over your thoughts.
Instead of letting your thoughts invade your life,
With all my love,
My light,
And my gratitude,
I wish you a wonderful day.
