As you settle into a comfortable seated position,

I invite you to bring your hands to a prayer position at your heart as a representation of balance.

Meeting that balancing energy between the palms of your hands and connecting that to the balancing point of your body right in your heart space.

Start to connect with your breath.

Feeling where it is today.

On your next exhale,

I invite you to send that breath down to the points of your body that are in contact with the ground and feel yourself being held and supported by the earth,

By the ground,

By the furniture you might be sitting on.

Feel those contact points and notice the balance between your body and the things holding you.

On your next inhale,

Allow your breath to travel up the spine and out the crown of your head,

Connecting you to all that is beyond and outside of you.

Notice the point right where your head ends and the external world begins.

Breathe into that expansion and notice the balancing point between that external expansion and your internal expansion.

Now holding the grounding energy and the expansion energy,

See if you can find a midway point in your heart space that balances those two polarities,

If they're even polarities.

Breathing into that balancing point of expansion and support and groundedness.

Notice how you might be able to take that balancing energy from your heart space and allow it to travel down your arms,

Through your hands and your palms to create a fire in between your palms.

As you continue to breathe,

I invite you to slowly open your palms,

Keeping the prayer position just allowing about an inch of space in between.

And on your next exhale,

Allow them to close again.

Palms coming to touch.

On your inhale,

Allow them to separate a little bit and then exhale,

Palms to touch.

Do this on your own to the natural rhythm of your breath.

Allowing this balancing energy from your right and the left sides of your body,

From the expansion above and the support below to meet in the palms of your hands.

Feel what it feels like to hold that balancing energy to allow it to grow.

Now with that energy that you've created,

Let your palms settle back together at your heart in the prayer position and let that energy that you generated travel through back your arms,

Through your body and let it feel good for balance to take over your system,

To even out the edges just for a moment,

To allow a softness of your experience.

What does balance feel like in your body today?

What does balance give to you?

What does it allow you to access?

What does balance give you permission for?

Who do you get to be when you're in balance?

Start to reconnect to your natural breathing in this moment and with gratitude,

Thank yourself for generating the energy of balance within you so that it can permeate and influence the world around you.

As you start to come back to this moment,

Take your time.

Thank you for practicing with me today and so it is.
