Welcome to this evening cherishing and savoring meditation.

Begin by settling in,

Taking your time.

Feel your breathing as you get comfortable.

Give yourself permission to fully relax and let go of all that's going through your mind as you settle in for the night.

Give yourself a deep luxurious breath.

Feel yourself clear away the day by taking a few clearing and releasing breaths.

Feel deeply through your nose and release your breath through your mouth.

Since you've done that a few times,

Take in a few long slow breaths that feel relaxing and wonderful.

Let your body sink gently even further into your chair or bed,

Fully releasing into where you are sitting or lying.

Begin to release the wear and tear of the day that is rumbling around inside of you.

Enjoy maybe the feeling of things uncoiling or unwinding inside of you.

Every day you show up and give yourself fully and you did that with all the things that you did today.

So now relax,

Release and let go.

Begin by thinking what has been keeping you busy today.

Let those thoughts run through your head.

What has been keeping you busy today?

What things have you been doing?

Let more thoughts of what has kept you busy come freely.

You might have been working in an office,

In the garden or on a project.

You might have been working to look after the people you love.

You may have been working on self-care,

Wellness and your own growth.

What work have you been doing today?

Your thoughts,

Your ideas,

Your creations.

The work you do using the muscles of your body.

And what are the challenges you may have had?

The difficult moments?

Anything that felt like it stretched you created that tug of war feeling.

Take a moment to recall.

Breathe with all the emotions you had with these challenges and may still have now.

Breathe with yourself.

Allow thoughts to come gently.

Take a moment to savor that you have the gift that you love to explore and learn and grow.

You have the gift of strength,

Of grit,

Of fortitude and of tenacity.

It's not about getting everything right,

But about learning and growing.

What might you be grateful for that happened to you today that is helping you to grow?

And now,

Acknowledge any unresolved thoughts or feelings you may have about this challenge.

Let go of any feelings of judgment or worry.

Visualize yourself gently placing these thoughts on a shelf or in a box next to your bed.

Know that any unresolved parts of your day will rest,

Settle and start to sort themselves out as you take these next few hours to quietly rest and refresh.

Feel your body relax and soften into the bed as you release any worries that may show themselves.

Take several deep breaths as you release them and let them go for the night.

And now,

Think of something today that you enjoyed.

Something that pleased you or inspired you.

Something that made you happy.

Simply breathe with that thought.

Reimagine it.

Feel it.

And be back in that moment.

Again feeling fully with your whole being.

Don't worry about other thoughts that may be coming through your mind.

They are just coming up to be processed as you reach the end of your day.

Let all of your thoughts and feelings be present in this welcome space.

Just absorb your attention in that moment today that you cherished.

Simply lay a hand on your heart and really feel the warmth of that moment.

As you breathe in,

Feel those emotions growing,

Expanding and multiplying.

Feel the love and the pleasure of that moment.

Breathe deeply as you cherish and savor that special moment of your day.

And taking another long,

Deep,

Luxurious breath,

Think of the connections you've made with others today.

Maybe there have been visits,

Conversations or emails.

What sort of connections have there been in your busy day?

The smiles,

The laughter,

The connections with the people who mean so much to you.

Find a moment cherishing those moments.

Feel the gratitude that you are a connector and your life is full of connections,

Full of relationships that you touch other people's lives and they yours.

Take several deep breaths as you feel the warmth and connection of those special moments of your day.

Take a few more deep,

Relaxing breaths.

Feel the rise and fall of your belly.

Enjoy this relaxing space and time.

Allow the feelings to expand and grow.

Feel the fullness,

The richness of your breathing.

And on the out breath,

Feel that total letting go,

That feeling of relaxation.

And feel how you can perhaps release more of yourself as you gently melt into the bed.

Bringing yourself completely over to relaxation and rest.

And now welcome rest.

And anytime you want during this rest,

You can bring your attention back to that moment you loved or any particular moment during your day.

Or allow your attention,

Your awareness to rest anywhere it wants.

Just rest in the richness of your day.

Letting all the elements of it be processed and released and weave together as you bring the warmth of your day into your dreams.

Enjoy.

You you you you you you you you
