My name is Lauren and this is a yoga ninja meditation designed to fill your mind and body with positive energy.

Begin to find your most comfortable position for this meditation.

If you're new to the practice,

This is traditionally done lying down.

We find props and pillows from around our house to support the body,

Allowing yourself to sink into the utmost comfortable position.

The more comfortable you get your body,

The easier it will be for you to access your relaxation response,

Turning on that parasympathetic nervous system even faster.

So before we go any further,

See if there is any way that you could make yourself just a little bit more comfortable,

Adjusting even the smallest of things.

And then when you're ready,

Let's take a really big deep breath in through the nose and feel your belly button rise towards the sky as you breathe in.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Allow the body to sink further into the surface below you.

We'll do that again.

As you slowly inhale,

Feel the body expand,

Taking the deepest breath you've breathed in today.

And then as you exhale,

See if you can let go and let go so much that you feel as though your body has become heavier,

Maybe even magnetized to the pull of the earth below you.

And then just settle here,

Noticing how your body feels.

And see if you can invite in some softness to the forehead,

Loosening those tiny intricate muscles that surround the forehead and the eyes.

Feel the eyes sink back and down.

See if you can welcome in softness around the mouth.

Letting go of tension in the jaw,

Maybe opening and closing the mouth to release that tension.

And letting the muscles of the tongue settle down as you let the tongue fall away from the roof of the mouth.

Feel the softness move down the neck.

And any muscles that you're using in your neck to support the head or lift the shoulders,

Allow those to let go.

Feeling the heaviness of your head become the signal to your neck to completely let go.

And that signal travels down to your shoulders and the shoulders move down away from the ears as everything softens,

Softening down into your chest.

And as you soften the chest,

The heart space feels as though it expands.

And the softness moves into your belly.

No longer is there a need for you to hold the belly button in towards your spine,

So that the diaphragm has all the room it needs to expand with each breath.

Allowing softness to travel down to your hips and the glutes.

The low back spreads.

Moving down to the legs as softness cascades down the legs.

Tension rippling off the body,

Down,

Out,

And no longer needed here.

Focus for a moment on your natural breath.

And allow the breath to become an energetic bridge between the heart and the mind.

And as your natural breath slows and deepens,

Your mind slows down and deepens into awareness of only what's happening in this present moment.

Let's gently welcome in your sankalpa,

Your intention for this practice,

So that you may carry it with you throughout the day.

Mentally repeating one time,

I am filled with positive energy.

And in just a moment,

I'm going to guide you through different parts of your body.

And as you move from point to point in your body,

There is an invitation here,

If it feels good to you,

To anoint each body part with positive energy.

And this positive energy is going to look different for every single one of you.

It may be a light.

It could be a feeling.

It could even be a knowing,

Simply trusting that it's happening as you move from body part to body part.

Allow that to come to your awareness,

This positive energy.

And when you're ready,

Move all of that energy to the right hand thumb.

Anointing the right index finger,

Right middle finger,

Right ring finger,

Right little finger,

Palm of the right hand,

Back of the right hand.

Right wrist,

Right lower arm,

Right elbow,

Right upper arm,

Right shoulder joint,

The right side of the torso,

Right hip joint,

The right knee,

Right ankle,

Top of the right foot,

And all toes on the right foot.

And as you move from point to point in your body,

There is an invitation here,

If it feels good to you,

To anoint each body part with positive energy.

And as you move from point to point in your body,

There is an invitation here,

If it feels good to you,

To anoint each body part with positive energy.

And as you move from point to point in your body,

There is an invitation here,

Left little finger,

Palm of the left hand,

Back of the left hand,

Left wrist,

Left lower arm,

Left elbow,

Right elbow,

Left upper arm,

Left shoulder,

Left side of the torso,

Left hip joint,

Left upper leg,

Left knee,

Left hip,

Left lower leg,

Left ankle,

Right elbow,

Top of the left foot,

And all toes on the left foot.

Move that awareness now to the top of your head.

Now anointing with this positive energy the center of your forehead,

Tip of the nose,

The air moving in and out the nose,

The inside of the mouth,

Center of the throat,

Hollow pit of the throat.

The center of the chest.

And rest your awareness here as you begin to find your natural breath.

Watching your natural breath.

Feeling the body let go and settle in deeper with each natural breath.

And then gently let the breath go.

And as we move into the next part of this meditation,

Know that you can experience this in whatever way works best for you.

You can visualize,

You can feel,

Or maybe just know or trust.

Imagine in your own unique way that you are placing an orb of positive energy,

Light,

And whatever color resonates with you at the pubic center.

And this orb stays there as you move up the body,

Place another orb of energy a few inches below the navel.

And then moving up in a line,

Placing a third orb of energy a few inches below the heart.

Feeling this positive energy begin to take shape in a way that's unique to you.

And now moving up and placing a fourth orb of energy at the heart center.

Feeling this positive energy begin to take root in the heart space,

Expanding,

Moving,

Filling.

And now we'll move up and placing a fourth orb of energy at the heart center.

Feeling this positive energy begin to take root in the heart space,

Expanding,

Moving,

Filling.

And now moving up and placing a fifth orb of energy at the throat.

Sensing into this space and this positive energy you've placed there.

Moving upwards and placing a sixth positive orb of energy at the center of the forehead.

Feeling this light expand the mind.

And then move to the seventh orb of energy to the crown of the head.

And then in your own unique way,

Begin to imagine that this cascade of warm and radiant energy begins to shower down the body.

From the crown of the head,

Showering all the way down all orbs of the energy of the energy around the body.

As you bask in this warmth and positivity,

Feeling this light expand and energize every cell and muscle.

Leaving you feeling completely revitalized by this positive energy.

And allow all of this to drift away.

Everything dissipates the shower of positive energy.

All of the orbs slowly dissolve and drift your awareness to behind your forehead.

Allowing yourself to go to the deepest state of rest yet for a few minutes.

Gently welcome back your intention for this practice.

Mentally repeating three times,

I am filled with positive energy.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Exhale,

Let it all go.

Welcoming in that breath again,

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale,

Let it all go.

With the intention of awakening the body,

Slowly.

Begin to become aware of your body on the surface below you.

Becoming aware of the outline of your body.

Body beginning to take in the light.

Becoming aware of the outline of your body.

Becoming aware of the outline of your body.

Becoming aware of the outline of your body.

Body beginning to take shape again.

Begin to notice your breath.

Feeling the air moving in and out the nose.

Tuning in to sounds.

Sounds that are happening in the air.

Sounds that are happening in this recording.

And the sounds that are happening in your room or outside of the room you're in.

And then notice the quality of your mind.

And beyond that,

Notice the quality of your energy.

Tapping into any energetic shifts that may have happened in this practice.

Maybe creating the invitation to lock these feelings in.

Noticing where you hold them.

How they feel in your body.

And locking it in.

You could even mentally make the sound a master lock makes when you shut the lock.

Holding this positive energy in for you.

For the remainder of your day.

And then begin to welcome in small movements.

Movements that would feel good to you as you take your time awakening the body from the darkness.

As you take your time to awaken the body from this deep state of rest.

And as you continue to move,

You could even move yourself into a side-lying position.

Continuing to take your time to awaken the body.

As your practice of Yoga Nidra is now complete.
