Lauren Mahakian describes herself as being on an ever unfolding spiritual journey. Throughout the years, she has come to discover some of the practices that work best for her, and continues to learn the art of balancing these practices, really tuning in to what her body, what her spirit, what her soul needs in any particular moment. She loves to share these practices with others, as that is how she's been able to learn and expand her practices: others generously sharing their journeys with her. She hopes keep that cycle going. Lauren is a licensed mental health therapist, certified yoga teacher (certified through Breathe for Change), and a certified meditation teacher (certified by davidji). She finds that combining the worlds of psychology, biology, movement, spirituality, nutrition, and connection (to self, to loved ones, to community, to the earth) are all such important components of healing and growth. She finds that mindfulness, meditation, and yoga, though sometimes challenging to begin practicing, are beautiful places to start (or incorporate) on any healing journey.
