Decolonial Abundance
Gentle talk about scarcity consciousness and the principle of abundance, with guided meditation that connects us to the generosity of nature and our true nature. To embrace abundance is to decolonize our fields from limited thinking, greed and fear about whether there is enough. Is there enough love for me? Is there enough money for me? Am I enough? Of course, there is, you are, if only we look to nature.

Hello,
It's Elizabeth.
I'm so glad you're here.
So today,
The focus is on decolonial abundance.
And I'll say a little bit about that.
If you want to just start preparing yourself for meditation while you're listening,
Settle into your favorite position.
Do all the fidgeting you need to do.
You might light a candle or some incense.
You might anoint yourself with a little oil or just preparing the space,
Preparing the energy,
Preparing your energy to enter into some stillness.
And you want to take it seriously in the sense that it is a sacred moment and you are a sacred being.
But not seriously like heavy.
Let's say reverential.
So the reason to take up this theme of decolonial abundance is because in this colonial matrix of power that has shaped the world for the last 500 years or so,
We got this economic system called capitalism that is based on the idea that there's not enough to go around.
It is a scarcity model of nature.
And with that foundation of scarcity comes the mechanisms of competition and greed.
There's a built-in assumption to our economic system that some people will go without.
It's like poverty is inevitable.
And to ensure that it's not me that goes without,
I need to struggle and compete and be led by my,
Not just my greed,
But my survivalism.
Now survivalism is a primal impulse.
It's our sort of reptilian brain and our physiological responses to threats and risks in the world.
It is a state of being that is very divisive and isolating and alienating.
As walking through the world like everybody's my enemy or everybody and everything is a threat to my survival.
So we want to take back the awareness that nature is abundant,
That nature never stops producing,
Creating,
That nature never stops pouring out its blessings.
There's constantly newness in nature.
And if you think about it,
There is no shortage.
There's no shortage of anything on this planet.
There's no shortage of food.
There's no shortage of water.
There's no shortage of people.
There's no shortage of creativity.
There's no shortage of animals.
You see,
Nature does not create scarcity.
But if humans go about creating systems based on scarcity,
We make that come true.
So it's important to know that just as we can operate from a basis of scarcity,
We can also operate from a basis of abundance.
And when we come from abundance,
We are more in alignment with nature.
And we are more in alignment with ourselves because we are nature,
Not separate from it.
So I just invite you to turn within,
To close your eyes or otherwise just cast your gaze downwards so that you're not taking in any more visual stimulation,
That you can drop in away from the world into this inner landscape of your very own being,
Into this territory that is infinite.
There's so much more to explore here on the inside.
Allow yourself to drop in,
Dropping in,
Leaving the world behind,
Letting whatever came before this moment fall away,
Letting whatever you think comes next fall away.
As you bring your attention here and now,
Here and now,
Here and now,
We're talking about the presence.
And even though we might talk about it as a moment in time between past and future,
That's just a device to get us to focus here and now.
But when we focus here and now,
What we start to tap into is the fact that presence is a state of being in which all things are simultaneous,
In which all versions of ourselves are simultaneous.
So we're dropping in here to connect to this state of presence that is ours by design.
Take a deep breath.
And sigh as you exhale.
And take another deep breath.
One more time.
Take a deep breath.
Let yourself relax.
And be still.
Come to an easy,
Easy place in you.
As you're breathing,
Be sure to drop your breath into your belly.
Don't force it so you're gradually opening up your belly with the breath.
And this allows your nervous system to relax,
Triggering the vagus nerve,
Allowing yourself to come into that parasympathetic state.
Also known as rest and digest,
Where we get to assimilate all that we've taken in and eliminate what does not serve.
By now,
Your belly might be softening up.
You might be able to really expand and stretch the skin and give your organs some space and breathe into your belly,
The seat of your creative energy,
Your lower chakras,
The ground and anchor that emote,
That are passionate,
Creative,
Fertile.
Your expression in the world,
Your personality,
Your manifestation,
Your rootedness.
It's all here in your lower chakras.
And just take a quick body scan,
Noticing from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head,
Just noticing this body connecting to your feet,
Your ankles,
Your calves,
Your thighs,
Your hips,
Your buttocks,
Just connecting your abdomen,
Your ribs,
Your chest,
Opening up as you're noticing with this breath,
Releasing any tension,
Constriction,
Holding.
All of that is just energy that needs to move and dissolve it with your awareness and with your breath as we drop in,
Drop in,
Drop in,
Drop in.
Go all the way to the top of your head,
To your crown with your awareness and breathe into your crown from above.
Realizing that source energy that's always pouring into you,
You're consciously receiving it,
Making the connection to the abundance of source that never stops sourcing you,
The abundance of the universe that never stops breathing you.
A constant flow of energy,
Of wisdom,
Of intelligence,
Of beauty pouring into you from above.
And as you receive this next breath from above through your crown,
Just allow that energy to flow through you and imagine you exhale into the earth beneath your feet,
Connecting with the core of the earth,
This rich,
Fertile goodness of the mother,
And then inhale from the earth and receive all of that mother love as it comes up through you.
Your anchor on this planet and then exhale through your crown into the sky and then receive again through your crown and exhale into the earth beneath your feet.
And what you're doing here is just connecting with what's already been given,
What's always being given,
Your anchor,
Your foundation,
Your source,
And just recognize as you consciously connect breath and body with this awareness that this is the source of all creation.
This is the source that sources all of creation.
It's a cosmic source.
It's a cosmic breath.
And it is an infinite source.
There is no beginning.
There is no end.
There's no scarcity.
There's not a time when it runs out.
Your physical body might run out,
But source doesn't and neither does the essence of you.
Sometimes you're taking this breath as recognize that,
You know,
We say we're taking a breath,
But we're really just receiving.
There's something breathing us.
Something inside of us knows how to breathe and turn that breath into life.
And the source is orchestrating all of it on our behalf.
We're really just receiving it.
We're receiving the goodness that's already been given.
And as we receive it,
Become so aware that there is no separation between you and anything else in creation.
Everybody,
Everything,
Every creature,
Every life is breathed by the same breath.
We are one in this breath.
As you receive this next breath,
And you can continue that sky to earth breathing if you want or just any easy rhythm.
As you receive this next breath,
Feel it like a wave as it comes in and as it goes out and picture the ocean.
As far as the eye can see,
All there is is ocean looming in front of you.
Massive amounts of water,
Massive amounts of territory covered in ocean.
And that you can see all of the creatures in the ocean teeming with life.
Picture the abundance of this ocean that is limitless,
That is vast,
That is full,
That is full.
Breathe with the waves of the ocean.
Just set the sound in the back of your throat as you breathe.
That is not random.
Imagine that you are in a forest and see the trees and feel the ground underneath you and hear the crunch of needles and leaves.
Feel the peace,
The deep,
Deep peace of the forest,
The deep,
Deep peace of nature.
Any time that you have been out in nature,
Any time you notice a tree,
Any time you are at the ocean,
The atmosphere is peaceful.
And as you are in this forest,
Notice the leaves on the trees.
Notice how abundant the trees are with leaves.
If you were to try and count these leaves,
How long would it take you,
Would you even be able to count them all?
If you ever doubt the abundance of nature,
Look at the trees.
Look at the grains of sand on the beach.
Look at the birds in the sky.
Whatever shortages we imagine,
We imagine them and then we create them.
But it's not the truth of nature.
It's not the truth of us.
And now just cast your heart energy to a world in which everybody has everything that they need.
Breathe into that atmosphere of abundance,
The atmosphere of source,
The atmosphere of truth.
If we know that there is enough to go around,
We will make it so.
Take a deep breath in.
Let it out and let yourself just be still.
Just be still.
Enjoy the breath.
Just create this moment.
And then still with your eyes closed,
Just take your hands and rub them together.
You want to activate some energy centers in your hands.
And just place them on your heart.
And breathe into your hands.
And feel your chest fill up your hands.
And feel that heart beating there in the midst of you,
The pulse of all creation.
And then rub your hands together again.
And this time,
You place them on your belly from your solar plexus to your root.
And breathe into your hands.
And then rub your hands together one more time.
And just cup your eyes.
And just take one more moment in the stillness,
In the darkness,
In the sanctuary of your very own being.
Appreciate yourself for sitting today.
I appreciate you for sitting with me.
Whenever you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Come back to the room.
Come back to your body.
Take a deep breath in.
The side out.
Ah.
Thank you so much.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.

thank you so much! i appreciate myself and i appreciate you, too ; ) i experienced transcendence in a new way and for the first time in 'long' time. i especially liked opening and closing with sighing outbreaths; the process brought an ever-so-slight smile to my face. i'm feeling rested, digested, and abundant ππΏπ
