Hello and welcome.
This is Liziah Richards,
Mental health therapist and yoga instructor.
This meditation will be exploring the fourth kosha or layer dimension of ourselves,
Which is the wisdom dimension.
We all have a deep wisdom inside of us.
What this fourth kosha or layer teaches us is that we can access that wisdom if we listen,
If we allow ourselves to move into that space to hear and to receive our wisdom.
So let's begin by finding a comfortable position for your body to rest.
Using the support,
The floor,
Whatever is underneath you,
Welcoming your body to rest,
To relax,
To receive your wisdom.
Soften through your eyes,
Through your jaw,
Through your shoulders,
Hands.
Come through the belly,
Legs,
Feet.
And let us take a moment to feel the breath,
This inspirer and carrier of prana,
Of life force through your body,
Through all the different layers and dimensions of your being.
This breath supporting the rivers of life and energy to flow well within.
The kosha teaches us that the wisdom dimension,
The vijna maya dimension is beyond the mind.
And we can experience or think of the mind as the place where we have thoughts and where we process,
Where we figure things out,
Where we think of ideas.
It's a powerful and important part of who we are.
And we develop this observer to be able to see the flow and the fluctuations,
The thoughts,
The feelings,
The experiences that move through the mind.
This observer of the mind is the same place that we deepen into to source our wisdom.
So let's take a moment to bring your awareness to your mind.
Maybe it's feeling like it's starting to calm and slow down a bit since we've started the meditation.
Maybe the thoughts are still coming fast.
Just notice where is my mind?
It's the flow,
My thoughts and feelings as I'm here right now.
We can think about the fluctuations of the mind like waves.
And we can think about the wisdom dimension of ourselves as beyond the waves as in that saying still waters run deep.
There's a stillness that is underneath the waves.
So sense into that stillness and into that depth that is beyond the thoughts,
Fluctuations,
Patterns of the mind into this depth that is your wisdom.
This place that knows deep truth and has deep and helpful guidance for you.
Let that space of your being open.
And I'd like you to do one of two things as we are accessing this deep wisdom.
You could ask a particular question about something that you'd like some guidance in in your life or you could ask for more general guidance from this space.
So take a moment.
Would you like to ask a specific question or receive general guidance?
And now either asking your specific question or asking for that guidance from this place of wisdom,
Ask and listen and know that the insight and guidance that you need is here is in this space.
