This is a meditation to connect to your heart.
Get your body to come into a comfortable sitting or laying position.
Make any adjustments as you start to relax your body here.
Sense yourself in this space.
Sense your awareness in your body.
Sense the support underneath the body and within the body to help you relax,
To help you soften into this moment.
Bring your awareness to your heart center.
The space in the middle of the chest.
You may like to visualize an image of a heart or color,
Maybe a radiant red,
Gold,
Pulsating,
Vibrating light.
Connecting to this space,
To your heart.
To your heart that feels and experiences emotion,
That holds your capacity for love,
Joy,
Courage,
And that also feels sadness,
Disappointment,
Hurt.
The heart is your sacred place of emotion and how you feel your world.
It's a place that wants your presence and appreciates your connection and care.
As we are hovering around this space,
Offer some care and welcome your whole heart to be here with you.
Let us imagine that our breath starts in the middle of the heart and when we inhale it begins like a seed and moves out and expands into the whole heart.
And then when we exhale it returns to that seed,
To that center place.
We inhale,
Move out from the center into the whole heart,
And exhale return to that starting seed.
Let this breath nourish the heart.
Nourish all the spaces and places of feeling and experience.
Let the breath bring life and support to this powerful heart.
And as we breathe,
Sense the space around your heart begin to grow and expand so that on the inhale the heart expands and opens.
And on the exhale the heart softens and we deepen our connection to its presence.
Inhale expands and opens.
Exhale,
Soften and connect to experience.
Let your heart be nourished and recharged by your presence and by this breath.
And let the breath move into all the places of joy in your heart and into the places of sadness knowing that how the heart feels and experiences is natural and beautiful.
And it is nurtured by our presence.
On the inhale can you see the image of the heart or the light around your heart expanding,
Vibrating as you breathe.
Let us continue to be here for a few more breaths.
And let your heart know that your caring awareness is here.
That it's important to you to be present and to tune in,
To listen to your heart's experience.
To tune in to give and receive love.
Inhale,
Expanding and opening.

Softening,
Connecting.
And we'll take a few more breaths before we close this heart meditation.
And it might feel nice to put your hand on your heart just to affirm your connection and your presence.
And then begin to find little awakening movements.
Your fingers,
Toes,
Gentle turning of the head.
Slowly bringing yourself back.
Opening your eyes.
