This quick meditation and visualization inspired by Louise Hay guide you to remember that loving yourself takes patience and time. So be gentle and kind and patient with yourself. Be patient with yourself as you learn to love yourself more and more. Treat yourself as you would someone you really loved. I shared this meditation in my Insight Timer course, "Louise Hay's How To Love Yourself In 12 Days" and thought it would be helpful as a stand-alone track if you need a quick reminder that your mind is like a garden. It needs loving care to blossom and grow.

Hello,

Liz Doyle,

The Positive Change Coach here.

When you're ready,

And in a quiet space where you can sit or lie back,

I'd like you to get really comfortable and then gently close your eyes.

Go within the center of your being,

Breathing in and breathing out.

Allow your body to relax,

Let any tension go.

Be in this moment.

Now,

Focus on the area behind your closed eyes.

Imagine that your mind is a garden.

There may be some brambles of self-hatred,

Maybe rocks of despair,

Anger and worry in your garden.

There is an old tree called fear,

And it needs pruning.

Once you get some of these things out of the way,

And the soil is in good shape,

You can sow some seeds of joy and abundance.

And love.

The sun shines down on your garden,

And you water it,

And you give it nutrients and loving attention.

At first,

Not much seems to be happening,

But you don't stop.

You keep taking care of your garden.

If you are patient,

The garden will grow and blossom.

The garden is your mind.

You select the thoughts that will be nurtured.

And with patience,

They grow and contribute to creating the garden of experiences you want.

Be kind and patient with yourself.

Now,

Bring yourself back to this time and space,

And you can gently open your eyes when you are ready.

Thank you for joining me today.

Much love.
