“The way to your spirit is through your body.” - Ashley Asti. This week I felt called to do a meditation dedicated to helping you lovingly connect to your divine body. If you routinely feel anxious or on high alert, this meditation will help you feel safe within your own body, and elevate to a higher level of inner peace and intentional connection to your physical form.

You're listening to the Motherhood Unstressed Podcast and I'm your host Liz Carlisle.

Thank you so much for tuning in,

For taking the time to relax and go within to increase your intuition and your connection to your highest self.

Today is going to be all about connecting to your body this divine vessel that you are literally embodying while you're here on earth to experience the expansion of your soul's consciousness and understanding in this earthly plane.

So often in meditation we're trained to make our body sit still,

To not run us like it does throughout the day,

But I feel a calling to help you connect to your beautiful body so that it is truly entwined with your soul and that your mental,

Spiritual and physical is all working together for you and your soul's expansion.

So to begin let's take some deep breaths in together to become fully centered and aware of all of the processes going on right now automatically.

So let's take a deep breath in through the nose,

Hold at the top and release,

Emptying out the lungs as much as possible before your desire to breathe in overtakes you and hold and release.

Breathe in,

Hold and release.

Push push push and breathe in,

Hold,

Release.

And now do a gentle rhythmic breathing,

Start to feel your body relax,

Start to feel your body awaken to your attention and when you do you might start to feel sensations around your heart space,

The physical pumping of your heart,

The flow of blood down your arms into your fingertips.

You might start to notice if you feel stiff anywhere in your body or tight.

With every breath imagine that you're sending energy to those areas loosening the tension,

Releasing pent-up fear or anger or anxiety that might bind home in those areas to try and protect you.

Tell your body now that you are safe,

Tell your body now that you are whole,

Tell your body now how grateful you are for all that it does.

You might get chills when this happens because your body is listening to you.

Everything you say,

Everything you think is not done in isolation.

Your body hears and believes everything you tell it.

So with your divine awareness tell it good things.

Allow your body to fully relax like you did when you were a child before things got too complicated,

Too hurried with everything and everyone needing your attention all the time.

Realize now in this meditation that you control what you give your attention to,

The importance you place on stimulating factors outside of you.

Decide now in this instant that you will only give your attention to what serves you and that you are aligned with your body and that no one and no thing can sway you from that truth because you're here to grow,

To enjoy,

To have fun,

To live.

Remember that next time you start to get worked up or triggered,

Tell your body that you are safe and that you choose it over fear and anxiety and anger even if you're used to taking the bait.

Decide now in this instant that you choose change.

In fact the next time something arises just say the word change and act differently.

Take the next minute or two to embody these truths,

To make them work for you.

Take what you want,

Leave what you don't and when it's time to come out I'll let you know.

Take what you want,

Come back into your body.

If you want to stay here and connect longer do it.

If you're ready you can open your eyes,

Do some gentle wrist rolls and neck rolls,

Some gentle stretching to further connect to your wonderful body.

Know that when you rise you'll not be the same person that originally sat down in this meditation.

This is the beginning of something new for you.

You can already feel it because you've already started the process just by changing how you feel and how you think about your body.

It's the beginning of all external changes,

The beginning from within.
