You are listening to the Motherhood Unstressed Podcast and I'm your host Liz Carlisle.
Thank you so much for tuning in and for making the decision to make your self-care,
Your mental health,
Your happiness,
The priority in your day.
I know you know that from that,
Everything else flows,
Your decisions,
Your interactions,
Even your mood,
Your energy.
It all shifts in these quiet moments when you're alone,
Getting quiet and breathing,
Tuning in to who you really are.
So let's do it.
You can do this meditation lying flat on your back or in a comfortable seated position.
You should be relaxed,
Not falling asleep,
Alert enough to understand what's going on in your body as you sit and breathe,
Elongating your inhalations and your exhalations,
Tuning in to the sensation of your breathing and directing your breath to go just a little bit longer on the inhale,
Pausing at the top ever so slightly and then like a wave crashing on the sand,
Pushing out any toxicity with your out breath.
And again,
You're not forcing anything.
You're not rushing.
This is your one time to not rush.
Just keep breathing,
Sinking in deeper into your chair,
To the floor.
Feel your body settling.
Feel your cells rejoicing that you're finally paying them attention,
Bathing them in life giving oxygen and love and releasing anything that you've been holding on to emotionally,
Physically,
Mentally.
I want you to imagine that with each out breath,
You're letting that go.
It doesn't mean that you forget what you have to do.
Of course not.
It just means you're letting down the weight.
You're giving yourself a chance to restore,
Build up your inner reserves,
To connect with a divine source of energy,
That life force that exists within all beings everywhere in the universe and in these quiet moments of peace and reflection,
You're able to tap into infinite intelligence.
Keep breathing.
Go deeper inside,
Almost like you're traveling through space,
The inner workings of your own mind,
Your own inner galaxy.
Do this for the next minute or two,
Breathing in life and energy,
Breathing out worry,
Anxiety,
Toxicity and when it's time to come out,
I'll let you know.
Rest.
You can flutter your eyes open now.
Do some gentle wrist rolls,
Ankle rolls.
If you have a little bit of time,
I highly recommend doing some gentle stretching and of course grabbing that glass of water.
This is such a simple way to start or end your day.
The benefits are massive.
I know you know you can feel it right now.
Thank you so much for joining me for this week's meditation.
As always,
I hope it brings you more peace,
More bliss,
More inner understanding.
Until next week,
Namaste.
