"Stiffness is thus a companion of death; flexibility a companion of life. An army that cannot yield will be defeated. A tree that cannot bend will crack in the wind. The hard and stiff will be broken; the soft and supple will prevail.ā€ - Lao Tzu | So much of life involves suffering, do this gentle guided meditation to shift towards a more resilient state and feel good now.

You are listening to the Motherhood Unstressed Podcast and I'm your host Luz Carlisle.

Thank you for taking the time for this guided meditation today for getting quiet and going within if only for a few minutes.

Lao Tzu said,

It's not the dry brittle trees that survive the storm,

The ones that can bend in the wind.

This meditation is all about finding your resilience within,

Finding your strength,

The strength and the adaptability you have to get through difficult times and so much of that is about getting out the monkey mind,

The racing thoughts and just breathing.

Let's breathe together.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Pause and release through your nose.

Deep breath in.

Pause and release.

Deep breath in.

Pause.

And release.

Last one together.

Deep breath in.

Pause.

And release everything out.

Push,

Push,

Push.

Return now to a gentle rhythmic breathing.

Start to become aware of the sensations within your body.

Your body is fighting for you to not only stay alive,

To be healthy,

Strong so that you can live out your purpose while you're here.

The sense of abundance,

Joy,

Bliss and health.

Tune into that life energy within you right now.

Feel its power and with every breath you encourage more health and more joy and you breathe out stagnant negativity,

Old patterns of thinking.

With every breath you rewire your brain towards health,

Towards positivity,

Towards the realization of how precious your life is,

How meaningful it is that you were even able to be born,

That everything worked out and here you are.

Understand how rare you are,

How many things that could have gone wrong or been different and with that,

That simple shift in perspective,

Realize how much you've been through already and how you've had to adapt and shift and change and push.

Recall a time where life was not easy,

It was not going your way but you made it through.

You're still standing,

That's not for nothing.

Keep breathing.

With every breath you become more and more centered.

You start to truly realize and remember who you really are.

Don't believe thoughts that break you down,

Don't believe thoughts that diminish your worth,

Their lives.

Start to feel your chakras spinning,

Those energy points in your body reawakening if they've been dormant.

Start to feel truly alive and at peace just by sitting here and breathing.

It's amazing what you can do when you shut down endless talking and tune in to your inner light,

That light being connected to every other particle in the universe,

Vibrating in sync.

Remember your connection and in doing so realize your resiliency.

Take a few minutes to breathe,

To bring life to every cell in your body and send it gratitude for doing what it's doing for you so that in this great play you can fully perform your role and shine in the short amount of time that you're here.

And when it's time to come out I'll let you know.

You you you Start to bring some movement back into your body.

Roll your neck to the right,

To the left.

Maybe do some gentle stretching.

Drink a glass of water.

Write down anything that came up for you.

Above all,

Feel the lightness within your body right now.

Now just by sitting,

Connecting to your breath,

How much you've shifted internally,

Let the sense of peace you feel now bring you back,

Back to meditation,

Back to your own intuition and inner knowing of how special and truly miraculous you are.

Thank you for tuning in.

Until next week,

Namaste.
