You're listening to the Motherhood Unstressed podcast,

And I'm your host,

Liz Carlisle.

Thank you so much for tuning in.

I'm so glad you're here,

As always.

Thank you for taking the time to breathe and relax and meditate with me.

Now,

Over the years,

I have had so many parents reach out and say how these meditations have helped their little ones fall asleep.

And so I thought,

Why not do one just for the kids today?

You don't have to be a kid to do this meditation or gain the benefits from it,

But this is for them.

So if you're ready,

Let's get started.

I want you to close your eyes.

If you're already in bed,

Get in a comfortable position.

And let's breathe together.

Deep breath in through your nose.

Another deep breath in.

Return to a gentle rhythm of breath.

Nice and easy.

Nothing forced.

And notice the sensation of the air coming in and filling up your lungs and going out.

Just notice.

And with every breath,

Let your body feel heavier and heavier.

Like it's almost sinking through the mattress,

Down to the floor,

Down,

Down.

Now,

Using your beautiful imagination,

I want you to imagine a white golden light at the top of your head.

This light is protection and safety and love and healing.

And with every breath,

I want you to inch it down lower and lower,

Past your forehead,

Past your eyes,

Down your face and your neck.

And as the light goes,

You relax and heal that part of you.

So down past your shoulders,

Down your arms,

Your hands,

And coming back over your heart,

Down your belly,

All the way to the tips of your toes.

With your imagination,

You're imagining you're being covered in this white golden light that's healing and protecting you,

Putting you in a cocoon of safety and serenity for the night.

All of your fears are washed away.

Any anxiety is gone.

There's no monsters under the bed or in the closet.

And even if there were,

You're protected completely.

Keep breathing and feel the healing benefit that you just created.

Sit here for a moment in the white golden light.

Let it do its job of setting you off to a beautiful landscape of your dreams,

Where you're in your happy place,

Whatever that may be for you.

Whether you're with animals or your favorite place in the world with your favorite people,

Doing something that you love to do.

Put yourself there now.

Release the white golden light and drift off to sleep knowing that you are safe,

Loved,

And protected always.

Until next time,

Namaste.
