Hi,

I'm Liv.

Welcome to your intention-setting practice.

You can do this practice seated,

Laying down,

Or even walking.

If you are seated,

I encourage you to uncross your legs and place your feet flat on the floor if that is available to you.

You're welcome to close your eyes or gently gaze downward and begin to connect to your breath.

Inhale through your nose,

And exhale through your nose.

Check in with yourself in this moment,

And without any judgment,

Notice how you feel.

Allow yourself to acknowledge both good and bad,

Positive and negative emotions.

This intention-setting practice is intended to help us let go of stressors or anything else that may be holding us back,

And to get really clear on how we want to feel moving forward.

Breathe in through your nose,

And out through your nose.

Settle into your seat a bit more deeply,

And allow yourself to let go of whatever came before this and whatever is coming after this.

Give yourself the gift of being right here,

Right now.

As you take a personal inventory of yourself,

Acknowledge if there is anything that you would like to let go of and leave behind you through this practice.

You can choose a single word here,

Like stress,

Sleepiness,

Anxiety,

Or distraction,

Or just a few examples.

Once you have the one word that represents what you'd like to let go of,

Inhale through your nose to acknowledge that you feel this right now and that's okay,

And then exhale to breathe it out of your system and let it go.

Come back to your steady breath,

Check in with yourself once more,

And begin to shift your perspective toward what you'd like to create throughout this practice.

How would you like to feel coming out of this intention-setting practice?

You can choose to call in something like joy,

Confidence,

Energy,

Or calm.

Call in on one word that represents your intention for this practice,

And once you have this word,

Inhale through your nose to fill up with this intention,

And exhale to breathe it out into your reality.

Inhale to breathe in what you're calling in,

And exhale to release what you're clearing out.

Inhale a greater sense of ease,

And exhale to let go of stress.

Inhale to connect with joy,

And exhale to let go of distraction.

Keep this intention on your mind as we move toward a visualization of what it looks like and feels like to live out this intention.

Ask yourself what it looks like for you to feel more grateful,

Or energized,

Or whatever your one word is.

Who are you with?

Are you smiling?

How is your posture?

How does it feel to live out this intention?

What actions are you taking as part of this intention?

If your mind wanders,

That's okay.

Simply acknowledge that wandering thought,

And then come back to your intention and come back to that visualization.

Know that just by thinking about it and visualizing it,

You are one step closer to achieving it.

Come back to your breaths in and out through your nose,

Check in with yourself once more,

And notice how you feel after taking this time for your mind.

You can revisit this practice whenever you need a little reset.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes and take in your surroundings.

Thank you for practicing with me.

I'm Liv.

Be well.
