This breathing exercise is designed to help you relax, calm your mind, sleep, and activate your parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for the "rest and digest" response. It's a great way to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and boost your overall health. The exercise is for people who have a bit of experience with breathwork as we will slow down the breath significantly in the second part. Here are some additional benefits of this breathing exercise: Promotes relaxation and deep sleep. Improves digestion. Boosts the immune system. Lowers blood pressure. Try this exercise before bed to help you fall asleep more easily, or anytime you need to relax and de-stress. Additional Notes: This breathing exercise is safe for people of all ages and fitness levels. If you are pregnant, talk to your doctor before starting any new exercise program. If you have any medical conditions, be sure to modify the exercise as needed. Music credits: Lito Mabjaia - Ocean Shores

Transcript

This breathing exercise is designed to help you relax,

Calm your mind,

Lower your heart rate.

This exercise is a great aid for insomnia as it can help you to fall asleep more easily so you can do it before bed but also as a moment of replenishment in your day.

I will be guiding you through a deep in-breath,

An even deeper out-breath and a gentle hold at the end.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

In the middle of this exercise I will be cueing us to going even slower with longer out-breaths.

So get ready and we begin.

Breathe in,

Wow absolute magic. I love that I can feel such a difference in my body from start to finish. I really enjoyed the change of tempo in the middle. I could really feel the benefits of it instantly. Didn’t want it to stop. Thank you Lito ✨❤️
