Taking a moment to connect to your breath.
Bring your focus inward towards your heart.
Slowly and gently take three deep breaths.
As you exhale,
Allow your body to relax a little more into the chair and let go.
So as you breathe in,
You're aware that you're breathing in.
As you breathe out,
You're aware you're breathing out.
All of your focus is connected to the spirit that lives in your breath,
Connecting you to who you really are.
Connecting you to the light of God within you.
Just allowing yourself to relax into that deep space of the breath,
The life force,
The spirit.
Placing a hand against your heart,
A hand against your diaphragm so you can feel the breath.
Feel the spirit moving through you in and out.
Asking for the light of God to enter your heart and mind.
Allowing yourself to be open to receive it,
To let the light gently bathe your heart.
With the intention of releasing guilt,
Releasing the ego's idea that you should be or should do something other than what you are right now.
As the Course in Miracles says,
I seek to remove all guilt from my mind so I can know God's peace.
Take a moment to place into your heart whatever it is you feel guilty about,
Something you should have done or should do or be different about,
Something you should have by now.
What's that guilty voice that continues to keep you stuck or in a state of disease or pain?
Really be present to it from this place of peace in your heart and just hold it in your heart.
Asking it to be healed,
Be changed,
Transformed.
What is in your past that you still can't let go of?
You still feel guilty or bad about?
Put it in your heart and allow it to be healed,
Allow it to be forgiven,
Released.
As you're present to the feeling of guilt or the shoulds,
The shame that they create,
Just allow the peace of God,
Allow the light to enter your heart.
In a holy instant,
It can just be dissolved,
Just be gone.
You can just declare that it's gone.
In this moment here and now,
There is no past and your guilt keeps the past alive and you want to be present here right now in the truth of who you really are,
The truth of your innocence,
The truth of your spiritual self that is pure and holy love.
If you want to breathe that idea into your heart,
I am pure and holy love.
Breathe it in and imagine what that feels like.
And if you can't imagine that,
Just keep saying the words,
I am pure and holy love.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with me.
I am not my past,
I am not my shoulds,
My ideas,
My opinions.
That's not who I am.
And in this moment,
I choose the truth.
I choose the light.
I choose God,
Love,
Peace.
And just breathe in that idea into your heart,
Breathe in the truth.
Let the light dispel any and all guilt that ever lingers again.
Give it to the light,
Give it to the Holy Spirit,
Give it to God.
Ask to be free.
Ask for grace.
Let things be exactly as they are.
Let yourself be exactly as you are right now.
And offer yourself kindness,
Offer yourself pure holy love,
Gentleness.
You might even want to put your arms around yourself,
Embrace yourself,
And let yourself be loved.
Life isn't about getting what you want or what society thinks you should have or do.
Life is about being who you are.
Being love.
Being spirit.
Being innocent.
And the mind might come in and say,
Oh,
But you're not innocent.
You did this,
You did that,
You didn't do this,
You didn't do that.
And you can just really be aware of the mind,
The ego,
The voice of fear.
Say hello to it.
Say goodbye to it.
Let it go.
No big deal.
You don't have to listen to it.
You don't want to give it power.
You want to be strong and solid in who you are,
The truth of who you are.
You know who you are.
And I invite you to sit in that,
Breathe in that.
Let your heart expand as you feel your breath breathing in and out of your heart.
Letting the truth of who you are be felt.
Let it go.
You are guiltless right now.
Own that.
Claim that guiltlessness.
And return to your heart and just in this moment ask,
What do I want to create next?
What feels good or right for me in my life?
Is there an action that would empower me,
Help me move forward?
And see what comes.
And if it doesn't come now,
You can journal about it another time.
If you were free of guilt,
Where would you go,
What would you do?
And keep breathing in and out of the heart.
Remembering who you really are and taking this place forward into your day.
Sharing your light,
Your peace with others.
Knowing that your freedom from guilt is also freeing for others.
Returning to your breath,
Taking three gentle wake up breaths.
Letting the truth of who you are be felt.
