Welcome Mama.

I'm Lisa and I'll be your guide for this meditation practice.

You're invited to find a posture that feels best for you in this moment.

That may be sitting,

Standing,

Or finding a comfortable and supported way to lie down.

I'll give you a few moments here to settle into this space.

As you settle in maybe shifting the body in any way to allow you to soften and rest in the space.

And throughout this practice my encouragement for you is to lean into what will support you and baby most.

In this practice we'll be inviting a sense of metta or loving-kindness.

Metta is a universal love that comes from Buddhist traditions.

This practice can offer you space to connect with your baby during your pregnancy or perhaps postpartum.

Here in this practice together we'll be offering well wishes for baby and for ourselves.

As I share some well wishes you can either repeat them back to yourself silently or aloud.

Or allow the well wishes to just rinse over you and trust that you will take what you need from this practice.

Let's begin.

Take in a deep breath in through your nose and out through the mouth.

Maybe placing palms on belly or baby.

Bringing baby to heart and mind.

And beginning to offer some well wishes.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be playful.

May you be at ease.

May you be loved.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Noticing what it's like to offer these wishes to baby.

Next bringing to mind your body.

You might bring to mind a specific place in your body that feels challenging.

Or you might bring to mind your whole being.

Your whole body.

And we'll offer some well wishes to our bodies.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be playful.

May you be at ease.

May you be loved.

Taking in another deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Next we'll offer some well wishes to our mind.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be playful.

May you be at ease.

May you be loved.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose and let it go through the mouth.

And bringing to mind your whole self.

Your whole being.

Just as you are.

And offering these well wishes.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be playful.

May I be at ease.

May I be loved.

Offering yourself the opportunity again to take a deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Noticing how it feels to offer your whole self these well wishes.

There is no right or wrong way to feel.

Just bringing a gentle awareness to what is in this moment.

Now we'll have the opportunity to offer these well wishes to your whole self and baby too.

May we be happy.

May we be healthy.

May we be playful.

May we be at ease.

May we be loved.

Let's take a deep breath again in through our nose and let it go through the mouth.

Bringing a gentle awareness to how you feel or what you feel in the body in this moment.

Notice what it would feel like to bring a soft smile to the lips.

And if your eyes were closed,

Taking a few moments to gently blink them open.

Bringing your gaze to baby and thanking them for the opportunity to have them along in your practice.

Deep breath in together in through our nose and out.

Welcome home mama.

Thank you so much for practicing with me.
