Hello and welcome.
In this meditation,
We ll journey together through a very powerful practice known as the Hamsa meditation.
This meditation technique falls under the Anava Upaya category in Tantric tradition and will help to refine your awareness through the power of action or Kriya Shakti.
It emphasizes the breath and the energy centers of the subtle body as well as mantra.
The heart of this practice lies in silently chanting the mantra Hamsa,
Which translates to I am that,
Where that refers to the universal consciousness,
The vast limitless potential that expresses itself in,
Through and as every sentient being.
By repeating this mantra,
We affirm our identity as consciousness itself.
In this meditation,
We ll be directing our focus on three key aspects of our energy body.
The sixth chakra,
Also known as the third eye or spiritual center,
Which is the center of intuitive wisdom and insight.
The first chakra or the base chakra,
Which grounds us and connects us to our physical existence.
And the central channel,
Which is the vital energy pathway that forms the connection between these two chakras.
We ll activate and engage the sixth chakra and then channel the mantra along the central channel that connects your chakras,
Harmonizing your entire being.
This practice is a transformative journey of cleansing and healing,
Effectively transmuting undigested emotions and experiences,
Thereby clearing karma and karmic patterns.
So I now invite you to find a quiet,
Comfortable space where you won t be disturbed and to join me in this journey of self-discovery and inner awakening.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position,
Either on a cushion or a chair,
Ensuring that your spine is tall and straight.
And resting your hands gently on your knees or in your lap with your palms faced upward,
Go ahead and close your eyes and take a few long,
Slow breaths.
And just noticing all the different places where your body is in contact with the surface underneath you,
Feeling the support of the surface underneath you,
And maybe even noticing all the ways in which right now you re supported in your spiritual journey.
Now gently bringing your attention to your nostrils and sensing the flow of air as you breathe in and as you breathe out,
Noticing that with each inhale the air feels cool as it enters your nostrils and with each exhale the air feels warm as it leaves your body.
And become aware of this rhythm,
This natural cycle with each inhale and exhale.
Now allow your awareness to shift inward towards the point just behind the bridge of your nose,
Between your eyes.
And sense or feel this space as the home of a radiant sphere of brilliant white light,
Your sixth chakra,
Also known as your third eye or spiritual center.
With each inhalation see this light intensifying,
Growing brighter and more vibrant.
Imagine this luminous sphere gently expanding with each inhale and then contracting gently with each exhale,
Allowing your breath to move on its own accord.
You're simply sensing the breath as it flows effortlessly into and out of this luminous sphere.
Now in your own timing begin to silently introduce the mantra hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale,
Feeling a gentle pulsation in the sixth chakra with each breath expanding softly with each inhale hum and contracting with each exhale sah.
Sensing the breath and the mantra working together to activate the radiance and power of this energy center as you concentrate on your breath and silently repeat the mantra hum sah.
You are reaffirming the timeless wisdom of ancient yogis.
I am that hum sah.
I am that.
Allowing the breath and the mantra to flow naturally,
Maintaining a gentle focus on both the breath and the mantra.
Now begin to transition your awareness to the base of your spine to the intersection of the first chakra with the central channel.
And on your next inhale,
Allow the mantra hum to rise up the central channel,
Sensing that it's being drawn up and into the vibrant light of the sixth chakra.
And on the exhale,
Allow the mantra sah to cascade down the central channel,
Envisioning it as a nectarian golden white light nourishing and harmonizing your entire being and spilling into the first chakra into the pelvic floor.
As you continue silently chanting the mantra hum on the inhale and sah on the exhale.
Sense or feel or imagine any undigested emotions or experiences being swept upwards up the central channel and into the sixth chakra,
The spiritual center,
A brilliant pulsating sphere of scintillating white light where these undigested emotions and experiences are offered directly into the light of consciousness.
And where they can be digested and transmuted.
And on the exhale,
Sah,
Sense or imagine a purified golden nectarian light cascading and flowing down the central channel,
Bringing the transformed energy back into your physical,
Mental and emotional being.
Hum on the inhale,
Sweeping any undigested emotions and experiences upward into this brilliant pulsating sphere of scintillating white light and sah on the exhale,
Allowing a purified golden nectarian light to flow downward and spill into the pelvic floor.
Into the first chakra,
Bringing this transformed energy back into your physical,
Mental and emotional being.
Now,
Gently releasing the mantra,
Allowing it to fade away and releasing your focus on the breath as you now come to rest in the spiritual center,
The sixth chakra,
Allowing your awareness to rest here in the profound sense of still,
Silent spaciousness.
Gently bringing your awareness once again to your breath and allowing your breath to be a bridge between your inner world and your outer world.
Slowly following your breath back out into the outer world and into the room,
Knowing that the transformative effects of this practice will continue over the coming hours,
Days and even weeks ahead as you find yourself coming fully back into the room once again,
Opening your eyes and completing your practice.
Thank you so much for joining me in today's practice.
Namaste.
