Relax to sleep is a semi-guided meditation that is gentle enough to use any time of the day/night. Its primary purpose is to help you fall asleep, improve sleep quality, reduce anxiety and allow you to stay grounded and present.

Welcome to this sleep meditation.

Make yourself comfortable and when you are ready gently close your eyes.

You may allow yourself to fall asleep at any stage during this meditation.

If you are having trouble sleeping it's okay,

Just allow yourself this time to rest and relax.

I invite you now to take a deep breath in and exhale out.

Breathing in and exhaling out once again.

As you are breathing in,

Notice your tummy and your chest expanding and retracting.

Taking in a big deep breath now and breathing out.

You may find it helpful to release a little sigh and let it all go on the out breath.

Taking in a long slow deep breath and sighing all your worries away.

Take your time here just breathing in and out.

Take a deep breath and exhale out.

Just allow your breath now.

Now to return to its natural rhythm.

Just observe how your body feels.

Surrender it all to that that supports you.

Let your arms lay heavy beside you.

Lay your legs,

Your feet,

Your back,

Your head,

Your neck.

Allow them all to be soft,

Limp and supported by what you are laying or sitting on.

Relax your jaw now by moving your mouth side to side.

You are right where you need to be.

Embrace this time of rest,

Guilt free,

Worry free.

You are deserving of this time.

Allow yourself to just switch off and relax.

If you find yourself overwhelmed with feelings or thoughts that make it difficult to relax or sleep,

You may want to repeat the following mantra to keep you in the present moment.

I am right where my body needs me to be.

I am right where my body needs me to be.

Be kind to yourself.

Allow those thoughts and those feelings to just gently filter through.

And if they get too much,

Just repeat to yourself,

I am right where my body needs me to be.

Be kind to yourself.

Allow those thoughts and those feelings to just gently filter through.
