Softly,
Close your eyes or simply lower your gaze to the floor.
Find yourself becoming comfortable.
This meditation is best conducted in a seated position,
Either cross-legged on the floor or seated in a chair,
But if there is a position that is more comfortable for you,
Feel free to proceed with that position.
In this meditation,
The most important part of your positioning that you can accomplish is a straight and healthy spine,
Practicing straight posture as best as you can.
Take some time to find that ideal position for you.
Chakras are energy centers within your body and within your being.
These chakras are all connected using a multitude of pathways.
Sometimes a chakra can come to a point where it is holding on to too much energy.
When this happens,
We find ourselves seeking to take that energy and redistribute it throughout our other energy centers within our body so that the energy may be placed in areas that it is more useful.
This is considered an imbalance and we work towards creating balance and harmony within these chakra healing exercises.
Sometimes a chakra can be lacking energy.
This is usually due to a blockage and we may work towards relieving these blockages so that our chakras can continue to receive beneficial energy and continue to work in a healing fashion.
Your root chakra is an energy center that sits at the very base of your spine.
This chakra represents safety and stability as well as strength.
When our root chakra becomes imbalanced,
We will find ourselves operating within feelings of worry,
Anxiety and fear.
It is through the chakra balancing exercises that we can move away from worry,
Anxiety and fear and back into strength,
Stability and safety.
Begin to focus on your breath.
Breathing inward through your nose if you can.
Breathing inward feeling that cooling sensation in your nose and then breathing outward again.
Breathing inward through your nose feeling that cooling down your throat,
Lungs and heart.
Breathing inward and feeling that breath coming in down into your lungs and all the way down to the base of your spine and then breathing out feeling that breath coming back up.
Breathing in again with that breath going all the way down to the base of your spine and then breathing out feeling that breath coming back up.
Continue this practice and visualize this breath moving through you.
Visualize it moving down into your body all the way to the bottom and then with your outward breath envisioning that breath coming back up.
Continue this practice.
Continue to breathe and as you do allow your body to relax with each breath.
Relaxing your toes with each breath.
Relaxing your feet with each breath.
Relaxing your legs and knees.
Releasing your hips and pelvis.
Finding ease within your stomach.
Taking a relaxing breath for your back,
Heart,
Chest and shoulders.
Dropping your arms,
Elbows,
Hands and fingers.
Relaxing your neck and your throat.
Softening your jaw and your mouth with each breath.
And with each breath simply removing any stress or tension in the entirety.
Finding relaxation within your breath.
And watching it come up as you breathe out.
As you continue to breathe visualize a bright white light growing within your heart.
This light is you.
This light is you as you heal.
Now as you continue your breathing exercise envision this light moving up and down with your breath.
As you breathe in the white light moves down your body down to the base of your spine and as you breathe out the white light moves up through your body.
Coming in contact with all of your cells,
All of your pathways.
Connecting with the bright light inside of you.
This light is you.
This bright white light is every part of you.
Continue to watch it move up and down as you breathe.
Move your focus down now to your spine.
This chakra will exist at the very base of your spine.
As you move your focus here in the place of your root chakra you will be able to see this energy center.
It is a circle or sphere.
It may appear as a spinning gear,
As a swirl,
As a rotating ring,
Maybe a rotating flower and as you do you will notice the chakra take on the color of red.
A bright,
Powerful,
Beautiful shade of red.
Glowing red,
Brightly.
More powerful,
Spinning,
Spinning faster.
Watching the energy exist within your root chakra.
Remember that as you breathe the white lit energy inside of you moves up and down and on the next breath that you take the white light will move down to your root chakra and it will contact with your red root chakra energy and with this the white light will carry the red light back up through your body and then back down and then back up and continue in this fashion with your breath.
Your white light spreading your red root chakra energy to all the places within your body and within your being where it is needed.
Balancing out your root chakra and feeding the other parts of your body,
Your being,
Your mind,
Your emotions and your spirit in places where they require to be nourished.
Finding harmony,
Finding balance,
Allowing your root chakra to take advantage of all of your body's pathways,
To work cohesively with all of your other chakras,
To work in harmony with yourself.
Continue to breathe and continue to allow your white healing light to carry your strong,
Stable and safe root chakra energy throughout your body.
You are the mountain.
You are strong.
You are stable.
You are safe.
We utilize mantras to help fine tune our chakras.
When we tune an instrument,
We use the sound and the vibration of the instrument to help us find peace and harmony within the music.
Chakras work very much the same.
A mantra is not a word to be understood,
Particularly when it comes to Sanskrit mantras.
These Sanskrit mantras are in fact sounds and vibrations that are used to heal.
The seed mantra for your root chakra is LAM.
We will use the sound and vibration of the seed mantra LAM to fine tune our root chakra.
We will move into a rhythmic chant,
Chanting and fine tuning our root chakra for an extended period,
Feeling the sound,
Hearing the vibration,
Taking it all in,
Allowing it to heal us.
Following the chanting of your root chakra mantra,
We will then move into an extended period of silence where you may simply allow your chakras,
Particularly your root chakra,
To move energy and to find balance and to find harmony.
And if at any point during this moment of silence you find yourself wandering off or distracted by a thought or even a sound or a feeling,
You may bring yourself back by focusing on your red root chakra,
Focusing on the single point right inside your chakra.
Beginning now with your root chakra seed mantra,
You may either chant the mantra out loud or simply listen to the sound and feel the vibration.
You are safe.
You are stable.
You have released.
You have come into harmony and balance.
And you continue and always continue to utilize your energy centers such as your root chakra to continue to keep your body and yourself in balance.
Using that energy,
That circulation with your breath,
Still envisioning that we want you to regulate not just during this guided meditation,
But throughout the chakra and relearn that you are safe,
You are stable and you are secure.
Wiggling your fingers and toes so that you may easily regulate yourself and connect when you are ready and only softly and gently adjusting to the light and space around you.
Seeing everything with a different perspective,
With a lighter perspective,
With a more positive perspective and moving out into your day or night.
Take care and be well.
Namaste.
