Thank you for showing up for yourself right now.
Before we get into this practice,
Maybe pause the meditation here to give yourself some time to pour a cup of tea,
Light a candle,
And just get more comfortable.
For this guided writing meditation,
We will be releasing false narratives we tell ourselves.
Oftentimes,
We subject ourselves to negative thought patterns that may seem out of our control.
Some thought patterns,
Such as overgeneralization,
Jumping to conclusions,
All or nothing thinking,
To name a few,
Allow us to believe false narratives of ourselves and our realities.
For example,
Me instilling self-doubt,
Imposter syndrome,
By telling myself I am not ready to assist others in their own healing journey because of my age.
I begin to question who told me I wasn't ready,
And do I believe this to be true about myself?
Where was this false narrative rooted from?
I started to name how I might have been conditioned to think and believe these thought processes through notions of staying in a child's place,
Fear of speaking my truth unapologetically,
Gaslighting my own intuition,
And forgetting how divine I am.
These are moments where you slip into negative thought patterns where only the bad scenarios exist in your mind.
But it is up to us to remember they don't exist.
And we need to remember that we are not the only ones to remember they don't exist,
Unless we give it power.
What would it take for me to release this false narrative I have of myself?
Affirming that I am divine and seeing value in what I have to share with myself and you all.
Maybe right here you want to take a deep breath in through the nose,
And a deep breath out through the mouth.
You probably already started to think about the false narratives that have taken space in your mind.
What false narrative have you told yourself recently?
What false narrative have you told yourself recently?
What false narrative have you told yourself recently?
Do you believe it?
Who told you this was true?
Who told you this was true?
Are there qualities,
Skills,
Personality traits about yourself that debunk this false narrative?
List them.
Get as detailed as possible.
The more you can point out and be descriptive about the good in you,
The less you can give power to those false narratives.
What would it take for you to be able to tell the truth?
What would it take for you to understand that this false narrative you have of yourself does not exist unless you give it power?
Now imagine a reality where you only entertain the positive thoughts and scenarios.
How does that make you feel?
How does that make you feel?
Remember you are deserving of this positive reality.
And if you disagree,
Why don't you think you are deserving of this reality?
Entertain the thoughts that encourage positive,
Affirming possibilities.
Because those realities exist for you.
They are meant for you.
They are seeking you.
They are waiting for you to realize that you are absolutely deserving of this positive reality.
Entertain it,
Believe it,
And claim it.
I hope this practice allowed you to begin to name what came up for you.
Remember you can always come back to this practice whenever you need to check in and remind yourself that you are not your false narrative.
Thank you and take care.
