Take a deep cleansing inhale.

And a deep cleansing exhale.

Inhale again.

Exhale.

Last time inhale vitality.

Exhale heaviness.

As you sit before your plates of food,

Your meal.

Take a moment to just witness with your senses the beauty of that meal.

The colours,

The textures,

The smells,

The beauty that springs up from our earth mother for your wellbeing.

Sitting in admiration with a heart of gratitude.

Notice any sensations or thoughts that may surface without any reaction.

Needing no response.

Now mentally or physically place your hands around the flatware touching the bowl or container or plate and hold it as if you are holding a baby with a heart that's melted and loving and a mind that's open to the innocence.

If you notice any fears or anxieties that may rise take a cleansing breath.

Now repeat.

I am grateful for this meal and this beautiful array of food.

I receive this nourishment with a happy belly and an open heart.

I deserve to receive the nourishment that comes from this food.

I am worthy to receive the vitality that comes from the energetics of this food.

And I create in this moment a healthy and loving relationship with this meal,

With this food as an act of self love.

Love this. Soothing preparation to eat - eating has become somewhat anxiety-provoking due to medical/GI system issues currently in early stages of identification. Stress just makes it worse, so it has become an unpleasant loop. This helped calm me and detach from the anxiety and concern over what might happen if I eat to much, too fast, or a certain type of food. I am writing this post-meal, and while there is still some unwanted activity in my gut, it is not as distressing now as it has been before. I was calm, and I continue to be calm. No matter my body's response, I am doing my best, and I am grateful for the Earth, the plants, the animals, and those who transform life into life-sustaining nourishment for others. Bookmarked this one and added it to my GI specific Playlist. Thank you so much for sharing this gift with us. I see you and the light within you. Be well. ❤🤲🏻❤
