Welcome,
I am Celeste and I am honored to guide you in your fasting practice today.
You are here because something inside of you is saying,
I want to break the fast so bad and that's okay.
Let's take a moment to pause,
Breathe and listen,
Not to the craving,
But to you.
Find a comfortable position,
Let your body soften and feel supported.
Inside,
Inhale slowly through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth,
Again,
In and out.
Let this breath be your anchor.
The urge to break your fast is not a failure,
It's not weakness,
It's simply a signal.
And all signals are worth listening to with kindness.
So right now,
Just allow that craving to be here with you.
No need to resist,
No need to act on it.
Just breathe and observe.
Where do you feel it in your body?
Is it in your stomach,
Your mouth,
Your chest,
Your head,
Your thoughts?
Let's meet it with compassion.
Often the desire to eat is not about food.
Sometimes it's about comfort,
Sometimes it's about boredom,
Or stress,
Fatigue,
Or even just the habit of soothing ourselves through chewing.
Ask yourself now,
What I am really angry for?
Is it food or is it peace?
Is it connection,
Is it rest,
Relief?
You don't need to push the craving away,
But you can sit beside it and choose not to follow it.
Take a moment to remember why you chose to fast.
Not to punish yourself,
Not to restrict,
But to renew,
Maybe to heal,
To honor your body and your deeper self.
The part of you that said yes to this fast still exists.
Even now,
When it is hard,
Breathe into that version of you,
Call them back to the surface.
You haven't failed,
You've paused to reconnect,
And that is powerful.
Let's say a few words together,
Softly,
Inside yourself,
If they resonate for you.
This craving does not control me.
I am allowed to feel discomfort and still choose my path.
I am safe.
I am strong.
I am supported.
I do not need to act on every urge.
I can simply feel and breathe.
Take a long,
Steady breath in and exhale the tension,
Pressure,
The noise.
You are grounded.
You are present,
And presence is more powerful than any craving.
Now imagine the craving as a wave.
It rises,
Peaks,
And eventually it passes.
You don't have to fight it.
You don't have to drown in it.
You can float.
You can breathe.
Picture yourself 30 minutes from now,
Still fasting,
Still clear,
Still proud of your choice.
Let that image settle into your body like warmth.
This urge is just a visitor,
And visitors leave.
Take one more deep breath in,
Fill your lungs completely,
And exhale,
Slowly grounding yourself into this moment.
You've just done something powerful.
You didn't push the urge away.
You didn't act on it.
You simply sat with it,
And that builds resilience.
You are not failing.
You are learning yourself.
You are fasting with presence,
Not punishment,
With choice,
Not control.
You are doing beautifully.
When you are ready,
Bring gentle movement to your hands and your feet.
Open your eyes slowly and carry these strengths forward,
One breath at a time.
I thank you with light and gratitude for listening to this meditation today,
For listening to your body today.
See you tomorrow.
