Hey,
This is Ish and today I want to talk to you about the second chakra,
Svatisthana or sacral chakra.
And this chakra is located about two inches below your navel.
It's associated with the color orange and also it's associated with sensuality,
Creativity,
And also energy as well.
So if you feel that you're lacking in these kind of points,
You might need to work on the second chakra.
It's not just about being imbalanced,
It's associated with any kind of addictions.
So that could be addiction to alcohol,
To drugs,
To food,
To pornography.
So it's associated with a lot of things that require external stimulus.
So if you think of a city,
For example,
It could be Las Vegas,
That would be a city that's very focused around the second chakra.
When this chakra is blocked,
You'll notice that you'll feel a lot of guilt and also a lot of addictions,
Like I said,
A lot of sensation seeking.
And then when balanced,
You'll find that you'll actually have a lot of energy and a lot of creativity to just do different tasks.
And it's actually a very healthy chakra to have once it's in balance.
And to activate this chakra,
There's a certain chant that's associated with this chakra,
And that is VAM,
So that's spelled V-A-M.
So typically if you want to incorporate this chant during your poses,
You would perform certain yoga poses like bridge or wheel pose or camel pose,
Any kind of back bend or any kind of poses that target your hips and also the stomach and lower back as well.
You would typically perform these poses and chant VAM,
VAM,
VAM.
And this can help activate this chakra.
And if you find that this chakra is already overactive,
Then what you want to do is release any excess energy.
And the way to do that is just to say,
Ooh,
So oh,
Oh,
So ooh,
While you do these poses.
And that can help relieve any kind of excess energy in this chakra.
So when you're looking at healing this chakra and kind of bringing it back to balance,
You want to go from a mindset of I want,
Which is what the second chakra when imbalanced is all about.
So I want this,
I want that,
I have addictions,
I'm craving different things.
You want to go from I want to I have or I am.
So if you think about from a law of attraction point of view,
When you're craving certain things,
You create this energy of lack.
But when you already pretend that you have things or you're working towards being fulfilled,
Then you radiate an energy of already being fulfilled and having things that you want.
And you'll actually conversely get the things that you want when you're not actively trying to grasp at it.
So another way to balance out this chakra is to look into color theory.
So you can wear orange clothes.
So typically you'll find that monks often wear orange robes.
This is actually for a reason.
So since the second chakra is associated with material possessions or cravings or attachments when imbalanced,
Wearing orange can actually help signify that you are renouncing all of that or at least working on it.
So wearing orange can actually help with that.
And you can also eat foods with that are orange in color.
So,
You know,
Obviously oranges,
But also turmeric as a spice.
You can put turmeric in your food or make a tea with that.
So there's different things you can do in in order to incorporate that when you're working with the problems associated with this chakra,
Such as guilt or addictions or cravings.
As a whole,
You want to look into developing different boundaries or interests or finding your purpose.
That's another thing that can help shift the energy from craving to actually moving it into more of a fulfilling purpose and drive.
And that's actually related to the third chakra.
So working one chakra up can help fix the balances below.
And also you want to work on the first chakra as well.
And if you can balance both the first chakra and second chakra,
You have a strong foundation.
And then you can now focus on the the higher chakras.
So I hope this helps.
Thank you.
