Peace,
Beloved.
Be proud of yourself for showing up here for self.
As Leila Delia says,
For being your own hero.
May these words hug and embrace every part of your being.
Regardless of why you find yourself here present in this meditation.
Being its anger,
Being its sadness,
Or any form of despair.
Here are beautiful words by the great Thich Nhat Hanh.
Your anger is like that.
It needs to be cooked.
In the beginning,
It is raw.
You cannot eat raw potatoes.
Your anger is very difficult to enjoy.
But if you know how to take care of it,
To cook it,
Then the negative energy of your anger will become the positive energy of inner standing and compassion.
You can do it.
It is not something only a great being can do.
You can do it too.
You can transform the garbage of anger into the flower of compassion.
Embrace your anger with a lot of tenderness.
Your anger is not your enemy.
Your anger is your baby.
You accept your anger because you know you can take care of it.
You can transform it into positive energy.
If you see elements of garbage in you like fear,
Despair,
And hatred,
Don't panic.
You can face this and say,
I recognize that there is garbage in me.
I am going to transform this garbage into nourishing compost that can make love reappear.
It needs only one conscious breath to be back in contact with yourself and everything around you and three conscious breaths to maintain the contact.
Let's journey into our breath.
I will begin the first deep breath with you,
And then I'll give you your time and space to breathe on your own.
Enjoy,
Relax,
Calm,
And breathe.
You are loved.
Let's start by getting into a proper position.
You can do this meditation lying down or sitting up,
Preferably sitting up.
Have your feet planted on the ground beneath you,
Spine straight,
Feeling the earth beneath you and supporting you.
Palms facing down to ground that self or any other mudra that you feel comfortable with,
Or even open to receiving,
Receiving love,
Receiving patience,
Receiving calmness.
When you're ready,
Begin to notice your breath.
Don't try to control it.
Don't judge it.
Just breathe.
Notice any tension in your body.
We're going to breathe into those tense spaces and release.
So find that first tense spot and breathe deeply into it.
Opening your lungs to capacity,
Pulling that air down,
And then exhaling gently through your mouth,
Contracting the belly and pulling that air up as you find length in your body.
Continue to take your deep breaths.
You can choose to exhale out through your mouth gently.
You can side out or you can exhale through your nose.
In the words of the great Thich Nhat Hanh,
Again,
Anger makes you tense your muscles.
But when you know how to smile,
You begin to relax and your anger will decrease.
Smiling allows the energy of mindfulness to be born in you,
Helping you to embrace your anger.
To close out our meditation,
We're going to take these next few moments to breathe in you with a smile and exhale with a smile,
Flowing at your wrists and natural beat.
So put a smile on your face,
Beautiful.
And inhale and exhale with that beautiful smile on your face.
And inhale and exhale with that beautiful smile on your face.
And inhale and exhale with that beautiful smile on your face.
May you continue to journey in grace and thank yourself for showing up here,
For finding your equanimity and for basking in your truth and your highest vibrations.
Feel free to return here anytime that you need.
Till then,
Viewoliveness.
