This meditation will help you relax by connecting to your breath,
Your body,
And your emotions so that you can find your way back to your true,

Peaceful self.
You will reconnect with your inner resource,
Your core,
The infinite source of peace and calm,
Strength and love deep within you,
Always there to help you patiently withstand every storm in your life,
No matter how violent or upsetting.
First take a few moments to build your own meditation nest.
Make sure you are comfortable.
Grab a nice pillow,
A sweater,
Or cozy blanket,
And let your body decide for itself what position it wants to be in for a while.
Trust the wisdom of your body,
It possesses its own intelligence.
Your body will tell you what it needs.
Listen to it.
Finding inner peace in times of stress does not happen immediately.
It is a process that takes time.
Allow yourself that time.
Give yourself the time to do absolutely nothing at all.
All you have to do is just be.
This time is just for you.
Time to recover,
Restore,
Recharge.
Gently shift the attention to your breath.
Enjoy a few calm and deep breaths.
The relaxation process has begun.
Feel how with each breath you breathe in a little bit of calm and peace.
And with each exhalation you exhale a little bit of tension and stress.
Your body knows what to do.
Trust its wisdom.
Trust its healing power.
Surrender to it.
As you continue to breathe calmly,
Gently shift your attention to your body.
Starting with your crown and the hair on top of your head.
Is there any tension you can let go of?
Descend to your forehead,
Your eyebrows,
Your eyes.
Can you find any subtle muscles that can be relaxed a little more?
How about your ears,
Jaws,
Nose?
Check in with them one by one.
Is there any tension you can let go of?
With each exhalation a little tension is released.
Descend further down your body towards your chin,
Your throat,
Neck and shoulders.
Can you let go a little more?
Allow your muscles to relax a bit more,
A bit deeper.
Maybe you can lower your shoulders a little.
You are safe.
You can rest.
Shift your attention to your chest,
Your diaphragm,
Your ribs,
Your abdomen.
Give all muscles you encounter along the way permission to untense and relax.
You don't have to do anything.
The attention is enough.
Just give yourself permission to let go.
Release.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
Descend even further down your body.
From your belly down towards your lower abdomen,
Your lower back,
Your butt,
Your hips,
Crotch,
Thigh.
Breathe love and compassion towards all these parts of your body.
Let all your worries melt away.
You are safe.
You can rest.
See if you can release some tension in your upper legs,
Your knees,
Your lower legs,
Your ankles.
Let them soften.
Allow them to fold towards the ground.
They don't have to worry about keeping you upright for a while.
Allow them to rest.
Surrender yourself to the supporting powers of the Earth and its gravity.
Mother Nature always carries you,
Supports you,
Protects you,
Nourishes you.
Enjoy her healing energy.
Allow yourself to relax.
And recharge.
Your feet and toes can rest too.
Let them soften.
Let all the tension you feel in your body-mind system slowly find its way.
Down through your body,
Through your feet and toes.
And let it disappear into the Earth.
All the negative energy you have absorbed from your environment,
The tension you have stored,
You can now return all of it to Mother Earth.
It belongs to her.
Let her handle it.
You can let go.
Let nature take its course and let the process of relaxation unfold naturally.
You are on your way from stress and unrest toward inner peace and calm.
The body-mind system instinctively knows how to calm down and relax in times of safety and rest.
We are all born with this natural instinct,
This innate ability.
Trust your intelligence,
Your inner strength.
All we have to do is make time and hold space for it.
Your body already knows what to do.
Enjoy some calm,
Soothing,
Healing breaths.
Breathe in.
And breathe out.
You may feel certain feelings or emotions coming to the surface.
This is very common when we start relaxing our body-mind system.
Don't be afraid.
Welcome them.
You're okay.
Maybe you feel sadness about something in particular,
Or more in general.
Maybe you feel other emotions,
Like agitation,
Discomfort,
Fear,
Or anger.
It's all okay.
It happens.
It's all a natural part of the relaxation process.
Just breathe through it.
You don't have to do anything.
No need to understand or explain.
Let your emotions run through you.
It's only energy finding its way through your body.
Let it happen.
Set it free.
You don't have to do anything.
Witness the miracle unfold.
Trust your body and its inner intelligence.
Let it dissolve the tension itself by releasing it into the world.
Whether it is through tears,
Trembling,
Screaming,
Or yawning,
It doesn't matter.
You are releasing.
You are relaxing.
You are restoring.
You are healing.
Trust the process.
Deep inside of you,
There is a core that is always calm.
A core of inner strength,
Inner wisdom,
Inner peace.
Connect with this core.
You don't have to look for it.
You just have to trust it's there.
Be aware of it,
Since it is always there.
Visualize yourself becoming unified with that core deep inside of you.
What does your core look like?
Is it dark or light?
Do you see colors or just black and white tones?
How's the shape?
Is it round in shape or more angular?
Is it smooth?
Textured?
What else do you see?
Take the time to just observe what comes to mind.
Don't think about it.
Let it happen.
As you sink further into your own safe core of peace and calm.
Bathe in her healing energy.
You are submerged.
Radiating peace and calm.
You are safe.
Protected from any outside influence.
You are in your strength.
In your center.
In your core.
Here you can relax.
Let everything go.
Connect with your inner resource.
Connect with this wise and calm core of life force and healing energy.
It's part of who you are.
Now from this core you are sending loving healing energy to every part of you that hurts.
To every part of you that longs for love,
Attention,
Healing or peace.
Trust in your self-healing ability.
Feel how your life force,
Your energy,
Does the work to help you restore.
