Welcome to this five minute boost your focus meditation.
When we practice bringing our attention to one thing,
It enables us to focus more efficiently.
It enables us to have more concentration to complete the tasks that we actually need to focus on.
So when you're ready,
Get yourself nice and comfortable in a seated position maybe on a chair,
On a cushion or on the floor.
Placing your hands onto your thighs with the palms facing up or down,
Whichever you prefer.
When you're ready,
Gently close the eyes.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Let it go.
Deep breath in.
And release.
One more inhale.
And exhale.
Allow your breath to relax.
Allow your mind to quieten down.
As you move into this calm and relaxed state.
As we become calmer,
Our mind becomes clearer,
Enabling us to focus more without distraction.
Now start to notice the connection between you and the ground beneath you.
Notice how it supports you.
Notice how you're safe and secure.
Focus on this feeling of comfort.
Focus on the feeling of safety.
Focus on this feeling of being fully supported right now.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Let it go.
Relax the breath again.
And just bring your focus to your breath.
Become aware of the air coming in and out of the nose.
Without needing to control.
Without needing to force.
Just allowing the air to flow in and out.
If your mind starts to wander,
Bring your attention back to the breath.
And repeat after me silently in your mind.
I am focused.
I am focused.
I am focused.
Take another deep breath in.
Let it go.
Now bring to your mind a task that you need to get done today.
Imagine yourself doing it.
Giving it 100% attention.
Giving it your full focus.
So you can complete it efficiently and effectively.
Without distraction.
Notice how you feel once you've completed that task.
And then take another deep breath in.
Let it go.
And slowly start to move your fingers.
Wiggle your toes.
And when it feels good,
Start to blink open your eyes.
Coming back into the space.
And remember this feeling of focus.
Take it with you throughout your day.
Giving your full attention to one task at a time.
Getting whatever it is you need to get done.
Completed with efficiency and effectiveness.
Thank you for joining me today.
I'll see you again soon.
