Alright then my friends,
I invite you to take some time now and give yourself the opportunity to arrive in this place,
In this time.
If you have something in your hands,
Put it down.
If you have glasses on,
You can take them off.
Just allow yourself to settle in to this place and this space.
Close your eyes or cast them downward so that you can turn more easily within.
Just take note of the thoughts and the sensations that are present right now,
Whatever activities or people have brought you here to this moment,
Accompanied you.
Just take a look,
Perhaps with appreciation.
In any case,
Just acknowledgement and then release.
Let that go.
Because that is no longer this is all there is,
This moment,
This now,
This beingness.
Allow yourself to bring your attention to your breath,
To this next inhale and the next exhale.
Just follow that flow as your ribcage expands and contracts and your body has its rhythm of integrating that movement of inhalation and exhalation.
And as you slow your system down to be present to this now,
Recognize in the breathing that you both breathe and are breathed and that dance,
Kaki Simo-in,
Dancing with the universe.
And allow your awareness then to expand the rest of your body and notice where it goes first and spend perhaps some love and attention there,
Appreciation.
And feel the mass of your physical being and allow it to just lay and rest on this ground,
On this earth and be carried.
With nothing that you need to do,
Just simply be and be carried.
And as you feel the mass of your physical being and perhaps that connection with the earth,
That depth and breath,
Imagine yourself somewhere in nature where you feel safe and loved,
Peaceful,
Sitting on the ground with the root of your spine deep in the earth and the top of your spine,
The crown reaching up and opening toward the heavens.
Feeling that connection,
The conduit that you are between heaven and earth.
And allow yourself without losing that connection,
That tether to our earth,
Allow yourself to rise in spirit up through the crown and lift off,
Perhaps looking back down on yourself in your mind's eye as you sit there.
And allow yourself to be energy for a moment,
A vibration that lifts up and away from this physical earth,
From your physical being.
With safety and with connection as tethered with perhaps a thin silver string.
And as you lift higher,
Perhaps you can sense the movement of the wind.
And if you like,
You can join that movement.
And as that wind,
As that force that moves between and around,
Above and through,
Allow yourself to take flight and if there's any sense of concern or disturbance or not wanting to let go,
You are tethered.
You can't be lost.
You can only be more connected.
And allow yourself this freedom now to move and fly,
To flow through the air as the wind.
Notice whatever sensations are there for you in this form as vibration,
As energy.
Perhaps what you see,
What you can hear being this form of element.
And what emotions you have as you can fly and float,
Twist and turn without any hesitation,
With total ease,
Joy,
Delight,
Freedom,
Power,
Whatever is present for you.
And as the wind that has impact yet can't be seen,
Only the effects of the wind can.
Notice how you appear as wind in the world,
In the cosmos.
Are you flowing gently and smoothly,
Perhaps with only a light touch?
Are you strong and steady,
Adding a strong force to the things that you flow through and around and encounter?
Do you spin and twirl,
Bringing life,
Bringing energy and creativity?
Are you stormy and powerful,
Stirring things up so that new things can begin?
What is your way of being as the wind?
And allow yourself to embody that fully.
If there's anything left of resistance,
Let it go.
You're tethered and safe.
Allow yourself to just be fully this experience.
Touch what you wish.
Go where you want.
Feel what's present for you here,
Fully and completely,
With no boundaries,
In no directions.
And however it feels best to you,
Allow yourself to integrate,
To let this experience seep into your soul and your being.
The sights,
The touch,
The flavor,
The movements,
The emotions,
Whatever it is,
Let it anchor itself,
This beautiful experience of freedom and creativity and light.
And bringing all of that back with you,
Allow yourself to gently land once again back into yourself as you're seated on the earth and let that wind settle and move within you,
Not forgotten and not imprisoned,
Moving,
Living.
And feel that energy of your spine growing down deep into the earth and up through your crown into the heavens that elongates you.
And bring your attention again back to your breath and feel your whole body move in the expansion and contraction,
The gentle rhythm.
And in the next breath or two or three,
When you're ready,
Allow yourself to center back in this physical space and time and to open your eyes and welcome back.
And that being that flow while at the same time being totally aware and if I'm the tender,
Just the tender whisper right now,
Somewhere else there's a storm,
Right?
And then all of those different movements have their time and space and impact that makes that whole happen.
And that connectedness,
You know,
I think it takes many forms and even if one,
It doesn't have that experience of being tethered or the view of it,
When we are all of those things,
There is that connectedness through the very nature of being all of those things at the same time or there can be.
I stumbled upon a,
And if you're interested,
I can share it with you all,
An article that I read,
Wow,
Must have been like in the late or mid 80s from Joseph.
It was an interview actually with Joseph Chilton Pierce,
Fascinating,
About use of that day and he was talking about the impact of television and just the beginnings of computer and our evolution as humans in general.
And one of the things that was a main thread of his conversation was the impact it's going to have on each individual and on our society when we lose touch with the natural world.
And I think about,
You know,
Especially our times right now,
Like all of our connection happening this way,
Electronically,
And how very seldom it is anymore that people are getting out or children are growing up with that connection to what does it feel like when the wind is blowing through your hair?
What does it feel like when you're rolling down a hill and get dizzy at the end?
What does it feel like when the wind is knocked out of your lungs when you fall out of a tree?
Like all of those experiences that we had as children and that actually our brain needs for its development,
The bumping,
The rolling,
The hitting,
The falling,
The standing up,
Running,
And how that's not being offered anymore.
And so I say that because when I think about creating something for you all in these experiences,
I fall back again and again to nature and to our physicality because it feels so essential.
And that if we,
When we have that,
We can move forward and we don't have that,
We go to our head and to concept and get lost and it can get very destabilizing and we can feel shaken.
So that connection to the earth and to our elements.
For me,
The wind,
The aspect that I love being is the sudden breeze that when I or someone is somewhere in nature walking and sharing and being totally present and then it comes without warning,
No direction and it caresses us and moves our hair and lifts a plant or a leaf or whatever,
Blows your skirt up or whatever it is,
Just a sudden gentle,
Not forceful gust and it's a reminder of,
Oh,
There's that,
There I am right there.
That's the kind of wind that I love to be.
All right,
Well then I thank you for your time and your commitment to your own shining of your beauty in our world and I wish you a beautiful rest of your day and your journey.
