Many of us have been silenced, or felt unheard, for the majority of our lives. Learning to express ourselves requires we feel safe to speak, share and declare our wants and needs and that is this Throat Chakra Meditation will assist in those efforts. Speaking your truth is more than about words, it is about self-expression in any regard, your authenticity and vulnerability being shared in the world. Cello by Michael Fitzpatrick; Vehicle

Throat Chakra Meditation,

I Declare.

Find a comfortable seated position and close your eyes.

Take one deep inhale through your nose and then open your mouth to release an audible sigh on the exhale.

Do this three more times,

Each exhale engaging the vocal cords more for more sound on the release.

Close your mouth and return to normal breathing.

Bring your focus to the tip of your nose,

Gently inhaling and exhaling.

This guided meditation will help you find your voice to express your wants,

Needs and desires,

Invigorating the energy of the fifth or throat chakra.

If imbalanced,

We begin to speak negative or untrue thoughts and feelings to ourselves and to others.

These lies mirror the hurtful things that have been said to us or about us and diminish our worth.

When our throat chakra is healthy and open,

We are able to speak our truth to the world and express ourselves with ease.

Stay focused on your breath as we begin this guided visualization.

We are sitting outside in an open and lush field.

Birds are chirping,

The day is sunny but crisp,

Invigorating.

The air is fresh with a cool minty fragrance.

Feel your feet on the ground,

Feel the breath flowing in through your nose.

As you walk,

You notice a small rocky mountain.

As you breathe,

Take a step closer to the beautiful hill,

Just walking and breathing on this beautiful,

Crisp,

Sunny day.

As you exhale,

You feel the air and the breeze of the mountains.

As you approach the mountain,

You notice the rocks are smooth and large,

Perfect for climbing,

Full of energy.

You place your intention on climbing to the top of the mountain.

Imagine positioning your hands and feet on various rocks,

Pushing yourself up one by one.

The rocks are cool under your feet and hands and you're able to make it to the top.

Continue focusing on the inhale and exhale as you climb.

As you approach the top,

You notice a perfect plateau to stand and take in the view.

Everywhere you look,

You see beauty in nature,

The vastness of the sky.

Next inhale,

Imagine spreading your arms wide and tilting your head back,

Allowing your heart and throat to shine up in the big,

Open sky.

Feel free and safe.

You trust this place.

You trust yourself.

Here,

You can declare your truth,

Feeling connected to all oneness.

Next exhale,

Imagine opening your mouth to the top of your lungs as much as you want to release.

Speak out to the world who you are,

What you want.

Speak your truth.

You may try to connect with what you want or some other desire of your heart,

Something difficult to tell others or your spouse or even yourself.

Now is the time.

Whatever you feel inclined to speak freely to the world while feeling safe in the sacred space,

Just let it roar.

In this energy of who you truly are,

You might imagine yourself twirling,

Stomping,

Dancing,

Yelling,

Crying,

Laughing.

Use the time to be free and honest,

To be your authentic self.

When you feel you've said what you need to say,

Begin to use your breaths to slowly climb back down the mountainside,

Feeling lighter and totally connected to self and mother nature,

Rock by rock with the lightness in your step and truth in your heart.

Slowly climb down until your feet hit the solid earth.

Walk back towards the way you came.

Bring your focus back to your nose.

Bring your awareness back to the room.

When you feel ready,

You can gently open your eyes.
