Hi,

I'm Lori and welcome to this guided meditation to help you heal your inner child.

When we were younger we all experienced some level of emotional upset,

Deep hurt and some level of emotional or physical trauma.

Trauma doesn't have to be a big thing like a car accident or a sudden death.

It can be something small like an embarrassment in front of your friends.

Regardless of the size of the trauma,

Trauma affects the brain in the same way.

These experiences,

If left unprocessed,

May still be lingering within us in our adult years.

This meditation will help you heal your inner child as an adult.

So find a quiet room where you will not be disturbed.

Turn off the phone,

TV or radio,

Ensuring there is no noise.

Close the door if you are able.

Either sit in a comfy chair or lay on your bed.

If you're sitting in a comfy chair,

Kick off your shoes and place your feet flat on the floor.

If you're on your bed,

Adjust your pillows and covers just so to reach your optimum comfort level.

When you're ready,

I want you to close your eyes,

Take a deep breath and as you exhale,

Consciously drop your shoulders.

And again,

As you breathe out,

Consciously begin to let go of the emotional upsets that may surface.

Release them with every exhale.

When you release,

You release with purpose,

Blowing the negative emotions out with intention.

Nice inhale,

Strong exhale.

Now just breathe naturally.

When you exhale,

I want you to relax your neck and your head and your facial muscles.

On every exhale,

Soften the muscles,

Start with the muscles around your eyes and your cheeks and your chin,

Down your neck.

Every exhale,

Feel the tension melting down your face and away.

Now turn your attention to your chest area,

Breathe into your chest,

Breathe into your heart center,

Releasing any stress or tension you're feeling.

Nice big breath into your heart center,

Helping to clear and activate it.

Feel the oxygenated blood swirling through your heart,

Expanding it with every inhale,

Releasing with purpose any stress,

Tension or upset with every exhale.

Now release and relax and let go of any tension in your back.

Breathe into the top of your spine,

Between your shoulders.

As you exhale,

Relax,

Release and let go.

On your next inhale,

Focus on your middle back,

Relaxing,

Releasing and letting go on the exhale.

Finally breathe into your lower back,

Relaxing and releasing,

Letting go of any tension or tightness,

Any pain or strain as you exhale.

Just breathe,

Relax and release.

Now breathe into your belly and abdomen areas,

Your solar plexus and your sacral.

Feel your belly rise with every inhale and fall with every exhale.

Don't change anything.

Just observe and as you exhale,

Release any tension,

Any fear,

Any worry or pain you're experiencing,

Any negative emotions.

Just let them go.

Now turn your attention to your buttocks and your hips,

Relaxing and releasing any stress or tension in the muscles,

The bones or the joints.

Let the relaxation move down your thighs and your calves.

With every exhale,

The tension's releasing farther down into your ankles now,

Into your heels,

Your soles and eventually out your toes.

We're going to continue to relax.

So on your next inhale,

Feel the recharge of the oxygen going in and the release of tension and stress with the exhale.

Let your entire body just relax.

Take a few deep breaths now and on every exhale,

You're relaxing a little bit deeper and deeper.

You're releasing and letting go of any emotion or physical stress that you might be having.

Those things are not serving your needs or your highest and greatest good at this time.

Just breathe,

Relax,

Release and let go.

Let the full weight of the body just go.

Dead weight,

Just let it go.

Now I want you to visualize you as a young child.

You choose the age that you want to imagine.

You're outside playing.

Sun is shining.

There's birds and flowers.

It's warm and inviting.

Tune into the child's spirit and essence,

Their feelings and emotions,

Their wonder life all around them,

Their joy and excitement of learning and experiencing new things.

Tune into the playful,

Loving child,

The fun child full of love and compassion.

Visualize this child experiencing life with joy and ease,

Bliss and love and wonder.

What feelings resonate and stir within you when you reflect and remember your inner child experiences that were joyful and playful and loving?

Does it bring you peace or bliss?

Does it bring you happiness?

Are you smiling right now?

Capture that feeling in your heart.

Remember the joy,

Remember the good.

Now I want you to reflect on the whole life experience including the negative that might generate feelings of fear or sadness,

Worry,

Maybe feelings of being unloved,

Rejection or feeling unwanted.

Take a moment to visualize your whole inner child experience.

Consider for a moment how the good times have impacted your life now today.

What great lessons did you learn as a child that you carry with you today?

Now take a moment and reflect on some of the bad times that shaped your life.

How have the bad times course corrected your path from inner child to adult?

How have those hard times as an inner child ingrained beliefs in you that you hold fast to today?

What lessons did those negative experiences as an inner child teach you that you carry now?

There is no judgment,

There is no shame or blame of the inner child.

The inner child did the best he or she could.

Just breathe and observe what comes to mind as you reflect over the whole inner child experience and what you've gained in your life today from the whole inner child experience.

And as you think through this experience,

Ask yourself is there a reoccurring theme or image?

Is there something your inner child wants you to see or know or understand?

Take a few minutes now and reflect.

No judgment.

Just reflect on anything that comes to mind.

What does your inner child want you to know?

He wants you to see what you can.

Continue to breathe and stay connected to your inner child within.

Do you feel you need to forgive your inner child?

If so,

Forgive and recognize they're just a child.

As noted before,

They did the best they could with the knowledge,

Tools and understanding that they had at that point in time.

Forgive and visualize sending your inner child love from your heart to their heart.

A beautiful beam of light directly coming out of your heart center and directly going into your inner child's heart center,

Full of love and forgiveness.

Thank the inner child for persevering through the life lessons,

Both good and bad,

That you both experienced.

Thank the inner child for being here and reminding you of all the joy you had growing up,

Even though times might have been tough.

Take a moment and ask,

Is there anything else your inner child wants you to know?

Now listen.

Now visualize a beautiful orb of light above your inner child's head.

The orb is about 5 or 6 feet above.

It's white and gold and purple,

Full of loving,

Healing and protecting light from the divine.

It is beautiful and peaceful,

Illuminating and radiating love.

Watch as the orb gently grows bigger and bigger over your inner child.

Watch how it slowly descends,

Encasing your inner child completely within its loving,

Healing,

Protecting walls.

Your inner child is not afraid.

There is so much love here.

It is warm and inviting,

Healing and calm.

Allow your inner child to just breathe in the healing,

Loving and protecting light energy.

Allow the energy to fill every cell in the inner child's being.

Feel your inner child within,

Deep inside you,

Starting to experience the love and the joy and the healing.

Your inner child is so happy,

So at peace,

So loved.

Now imagine you too have an orb of light above your head that's growing bigger and bigger.

It's illuminating the white,

Gold and purple loving light.

Watch now as it starts to descend over you,

Past your head and shoulders,

Past your waist,

Past your hips,

Down your legs until you're entirely encased in the orb of light's loving,

Healing,

Protecting white,

Gold and purple energy light.

Take a moment and just breathe it in.

The visualization of your inner child inside its own orb now matches the larger image that you're now experiencing of you inside an orb.

You are one,

Sharing the same loving,

Healing,

Protecting energy light.

You are one in being healed.

You are one in releasing hurts and pains and upsets.

You are one in being protected.

From child to adult,

The healing will occur with peace,

Ease and joy,

Releasing any of the negative emotions that no longer serve your highest and greatest good,

Your needs,

Wants and desires.

We're letting that go.

The orb is letting it go and taking it away for you.

Breathe in the healing light.

As you continue to breathe the white,

Gold and purple energy light,

Feel every cell in your body activate with this healing.

Set the intention that every exhale you are ridding your body,

Mind and spirit of toxic emotions,

Negative self-talk,

Limiting beliefs that are holding you back.

You're releasing any past wounds or harbored negative feelings and emotions.

You're letting them all go.

Now just breathe,

Relax,

Release and let go with the intention of healing your inner child and yourself.

Breathe in love and healing,

Protective light,

Exhaling all that is no longer serving you.

Just breathe.

Let go and release all that is no longer serving you.

Once again,

Focus on the wonderful qualities of your inner child,

The qualities you want to manifest in yourself.

Think about the joyful nature you want to restore,

The curious spirit and the wonder and excitement of life all around you.

Focus on the trust and belief and hope in the universe that everything is going to work out,

That everything is exactly how it's meant to be and that there is love and compassion for all living things.

Consciously place each positive,

Playful,

Joyful quality you would like to have returned to your life directly into your heart center.

One quality at a time,

Place each one into your heart center,

Aligning your desires with a heartfelt intention.

Now consciously be your inner child of wonder for a moment.

Think about all the possibilities on your life path right now.

Are there opportunities to stretch your boundaries,

Maybe out of your comfort zone?

Are there opportunities or steps you can take towards manifesting your dreams and desires today?

Are there opportunities to add more playfulness to your day,

More laughter and joy?

Are there opportunities to bring those positive inner child qualities into your life right now?

If so,

Don't wait and if not,

Find a way.

And in the meantime,

Be grateful for the hurt and the stress and the trauma and other childhood upset that you and your inner child have experienced.

All those experiences have made you who you are today.

You are stronger for having those experiences.

You are wiser for having those experiences.

You are able to help others because you have had those experiences.

And you have learned how to be kind and compassionate because of your experiences.

Be also grateful for the good experiences of your inner child as those experiences have shown you qualities of joy,

Bliss,

Love and kindness,

Wonder and excitement.

They have taught you laughter and peace and serenity.

They have brought balance to your life as you needed it through your life.

So open your heart and let the gratitude for your whole inner child,

Good and bad,

And all the experiences your inner child brings to your life,

Let all the love and gratitude pour in for that.

Fill your heart with gratitude for your inner child,

With love for your inner child.

Rather than just connect with your newly healed inner child,

A joyful,

Loving,

Wonderful,

Happy being inside of you.

Your inner child is beautiful.

Love your inner child.

Your inner child is a part of you.

Love yourself.

Because without your inner child,

You would not be the amazing person you are today.

Release and heal some of the issues we all experience around our inner child.
