Good morning,

Welcome to In The Flow,

I'm Lori Albert.

I'm Lori Albert,

Your tour guide.

I don't know why I said that.

So I have a friend that is sort of,

How can I say this?

I have a friend who is sort of being led down a,

I don't want to say down the wrong road because that's not right,

But being made to feel like her light is dimming,

Like her light is dim.

She has another friend that is making her feel like her light is dim.

It was,

It's amazing because,

It's amazing to me on several levels actually,

Because firstly,

Firstly,

We cannot allow other people to dim our light.

We can't,

Because we are children of God,

Spirit universe,

Whatever you want to call it,

Right?

We are children of God and we can't allow others to dim our light.

We need to believe that in here,

Right?

Now there's a whole other sort of psychological aspect to that where I was thinking,

You know,

This person that is sort of bringing her down is like sad and depressed herself.

And so God forbid that somebody should,

You know,

Feel good.

You know what I mean?

So,

So that's like one aspect,

But you know what,

Just because somebody,

And this person I'm sure doesn't even realize what she's doing to my friend,

Right?

But here's the thing,

We can't allow other people to,

To dim our light.

So we have so much to do in this world.

So I was talking with another friend and she was,

She reminded me of a,

I don't know if it's a poem or like a little story,

I guess it's a poem by Marianne Williamson.

Now interestingly,

Marianne Williamson,

Normally this,

This poem gets,

It's thought that it was Nelson Mandela that said this,

But he was actually quoting Marianne Williamson.

So I just,

I always think that's kind of interesting.

So let me read you this poem because you know what?

We need to keep our,

Our light shining,

My friends.

Never allow,

Never allow your light to fade.

Never allow someone else to dim your light.

Oh my God,

I love that so much.

Okay,

So I'm going to read this poem to you because it's absolutely amazing.

It's called Our Deepest Fear.

Good morning to you guys.

Okay,

Here's the,

Here is the poem.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light,

Not our darkness that most frightens us.

That's pretty amazing,

Right?

We ask ourselves,

Who am I to be brilliant,

Gorgeous,

Talented,

Fabulous?

Actually who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

Like mind blown,

You know?

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

This makes me want to cry.

We are all meant to shine as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us,

It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,

We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we're liberated from our fear,

Our presence automatically liberates others.

Seriously?

I mean,

It does not get better than that.

If you ask me,

Do you know what I'm saying?

It doesn't get any better than that,

Any smarter than that,

Any more beautiful than that,

Because that's the bottom line.

We are children of God and we cannot allow somebody else's insecurity to bring us down.

And that makes me sad for the person that's actually kind of the person that's trying to bring us down.

That makes me sad for that person.

But the reality is that we are in charge of our own self here,

Right?

Amazing.

And you know what I love from the poem is actually the very first line.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure and you are.

So I'll share a little story and this is like,

This is deeply personal to me.

And as I'm telling it,

I think those of you that listen to me regularly know that I come from a place of love,

Or at least I always try to,

Right?

However,

This is pretty personal.

When I was in my college years,

I wanted to be a singer and I did a few things and I was trying to do things for,

To make myself a singer,

A professional singer.

Now I was doing stuff.

I was a professional singer,

But I wanted to be in the spotlight,

Right?

And one day I remember looking and seeing what happened to,

What was happening to some of the singers that I revered that were,

You know,

Already in the spotlight.

Very interesting because I saw a lot of people,

I see a lot of people who were made to feel like,

You know,

I mean,

This was before social media,

Right?

Or things would happen to these people that would make them feel horrible,

Like you're fat or you're this or you're that or,

You know,

Whatever.

And it would like make me feel,

You know,

Like,

Oh my God,

Can I handle that?

So I remember thinking one day,

You know what?

I don't think I want that because if I make it as a professional singer in the spotlight or whatever,

Am I going to be able to handle that?

What a crazy thought,

Right?

So I dimmed my light out of fear.

I dimmed my light out of fear.

We can't do that.

We can't allow,

We can't dim our own light just so that someone else will make,

And this doesn't relate to that story,

But we can't dim our light so that someone else can feel better.

That's not what we're supposed to do.

We are light and we are supposed to be who we are.

And then the end of this poem,

Which is the most important part of the whole thing,

Right?

And as we let our own light shine,

We unconsciously give people permission to do the same.

Our presence automatically liberates others.

And that's what I hope to give to you today.

Right?

Let's be who we're supposed to be.

Free ourselves from those bonds.

Put up the sunshine shield.

That's what I love.

A friend of mine said that and I was like,

Oh,

I love that.

Put up your sunshine shield.

It's amazing.

Amazing.

So let's meditate on this.

And guess what our mantra is going to be?

Liberation right?

What is the Sanskrit word for liberation?

Moksha.

Moksha.

Before we meditate,

I beg of you,

Let your light shine.

Please let your light shine.

The world needs you.

The world needs you.

So,

Okay,

Let's get ready to meditate.

Oh,

Woohoo.

I haven't even really had that much coffee yet.

Isn't that great?

Alright,

Let's get ourselves comfortable.

And when you feel comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in.

And release it.

Perfect.

As we get ready to sit in the silence for just a few minutes,

Let's consider what moksha means.

Moksha is freedom.

Moksha is liberation.

Freedom to be as we are meant to be.

So let's start really quick at the top of our head and sort of allow that white light to come in through our crown chakra and come the whole way down through our bodies,

Giving us white light energy for today.

Coming in through our crown chakra,

All the way down and through our head,

Our third eye,

Our throat chakra,

Our heart,

Solar plexus,

Sacral and base chakra.

Just allow that white light energy to envelop us and give us the confidence and the security that we need for today to let our light shine.

The world needs you.

So our mantra today is moksha.

And as we begin,

It's okay if you start thinking of other things,

Have sensations.

Just gently bring yourself back to the mantra moksha.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Moksha.

Start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

And let's take a deep breath in of the moksha.

Breathe in freedom.

And release to the world.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

Love that.

It's so beautiful.

This thought for the day.

You are special and your light shines.

Imagine the people that you personally can touch throughout your day.

The people that you can touch throughout your day in your life.

If you just allow the light to shine.

So,

I really appreciate each and every one of you for joining today.

Thank you so much for being with me.

And until tomorrow,

I love you all.

Have a beautiful day.

Namaste.
