Hello,

Welcome to In The Flow.

My name is Lori Albert and today we are going to talk about the word of the day.

I should say it this way,

The word of the day today is creativity.

Creativity,

What does that mean to you?

When you hear the word creativity,

What does that mean?

It could mean all sorts of things,

You know,

It could mean artistic creativity,

Obviously.

Well,

I shouldn't even say obviously,

But it could mean artistic creativity.

It could mean emotional creativity.

It could mean professional creativity.

What does that word mean to you?

And the question then after that is,

How do you access it?

How do you access your creativity?

I'm not,

I don't look at myself as very creative person.

I'm creative in certain ways,

But not like artistically.

My daughter are very artistic,

Very creative artistically.

My husband,

Very artistically creative.

Me,

Not so much.

Not artistically.

I'm creative in like other ways,

Like I'm like,

I'm one of those people who likes to think of the box and then think outside the box.

You know what I mean?

So that's not really,

I don't even know what kind of our creativity that would be considered,

But yeah.

So what is your creativity and how do you access that?

Right?

So here's my goal for the day.

Our goal for today is to figure out what creativity means to us.

And have it mean something significant today.

Right?

So something,

Something significant today.

What is one thing that you can do today that is creative?

Beautiful.

Right?

I love that,

Right?

So Wayne Dyer had,

Oh my gosh,

Wayne Dyer.

I just always have thought the,

Um,

Like everything about Wayne Dyer.

This is what he said.

Here's his quote.

Everything that's created comes out of silence.

Right?

Your thoughts emerge from the nothingness of silence.

Your words come out of this void.

Your very essence emerged from emptiness.

All creativity requires some stillness.

I just love that.

Right?

It makes me think that you're going to laugh when I say this,

But it makes me think that there's hope for me creatively,

Artistically.

Right?

Makes me think that there's hope.

But here's the thing.

This style,

This,

The stillness of meditation is where we create our lives.

That's where I'm going with this today.

The stillness of meditation is where we create ourselves,

Our lives.

Think about that because we sit and we listen.

So that's what we're going to do today.

We are going to listen today.

Oh,

How's that?

Oh,

That sound.

We're going to listen.

I love that.

Okay.

All right.

So let's get ourselves in a comfortable place and get ready to listen.

Isn't that great?

Okay.

So,

Yeah,

That makes me so excited to do.

Right?

Okay.

So get yourself comfortable,

Whether it's in your chair or if you're laying down.

You know the drill.

Right?

And whenever you feel comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Perfect.

Let's relax ourselves.

Let's relax.

Starting at the top of our body,

Let's relax our heads,

Our neck,

Our shoulders,

Our arms.

Let's call attention to our torso and our upper body.

Place some attention on it and just relax it.

Our abdomen,

Our pelvis,

Our hips.

Let's relax our hips.

Going down our legs,

Relax our legs,

Our knees,

Our calves,

Our feet.

Now let's take a nice long,

Deep,

Deep breath in.

Feeling the feeling of relaxation all through our bodies today.

Today we are not going to have a mantra.

We're going to focus on our breath.

Focus on our breath.

Breathing in and out.

And in and out.

And today we're going to focus and concentrate on the stillness that is meditation.

And let's listen.

Listen and concentrate on our breath.

And if you start finding yourself having thoughts swirling in your head,

That's okay.

Focus back on your breath.

I will keep the time and let's begin.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.

The room where we're sitting.

And moving your fingers and toes.

And let's take a nice long deep breath in.

And release.

And let's make sure you feel comfortable.

You can open your eyes.

How did that feel to you guys?

Was that challenging?

Was it challenging to not have a mantra and just concentrate on breath?

Or was it releasing?

Did it feel good to do that?

You know?

Everybody has a different way that sort of works for them.

You know?

So that's great.

Yay!

I'm so happy.

You all did great.

Now go out and be creative and remember our challenge.

Do something kind for somebody today.

If you can remember to do that and be creative with your life.

And that's great.

Isn't it like doing these things for other people and sitting in the silence for ourselves?

It kind of helps the world be okay.

You know?

That's how I feel anyway.

Thanks for joining today.

I appreciate every single one of you.

Namaste everybody.

Have a beautiful day.

I love you all.

Take care.
