Spiritual self-care is essential! We should never be scared to take care of ourselves physically, spiritually or emotionally! It’s about what right for our highest and greatest good. My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Welcome to In the Flow,

A positivity provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.

We will laugh,

Cry,

Meditate,

And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,

Meditation,

Prayer,

And the afterlife.

I realized something over the last few days and I thought,

You know what,

This is like a big sort of like,

Well,

Not big,

But it's like a life lesson.

And I thought,

You know what,

This is something great to talk about because I know other people have felt the same way.

So there's a person that is in my life that I just,

The energy is just not matching to mine let's just say,

Alright?

And you know what,

I go back and forth and I know that,

You know,

I mean,

Especially when you're a light worker,

You kind of know when the energy is a match and when the energy is kind of maybe not,

You know?

So I sort of stay away from this person a little bit and this weekend I knew that I was doing that,

Right?

Staying away from this person and then I thought,

You know what,

I feel kind of bad.

Maybe I should,

And then,

You know,

So I went through this whole thought process of like,

Maybe I should stay away from this person.

And then I felt bad and then I went,

Oh my gosh,

You know what,

That's so wrong.

You know what,

I need to be a better person and blah,

Blah,

Blah.

Then I thought,

And it came kind of full circle and I was like,

You know what,

It's okay to take care of myself and not want to be around this person.

It's okay to own my feelings,

Right?

It is okay and that's what my lesson is.

You know what,

You can go the gamut of all the emotions about maybe a relationship with somebody,

Whoever it is.

Could be a close friend or family or it could be somebody that you barely know,

Right?

You know,

You go through the whole gamut of emotions,

But you know what,

At the end of the day,

I think it's okay to take care of ourselves.

It's okay for me to kind of want to stay away from this person a little bit.

You know,

It's absolutely okay to do that,

You know?

And here's the thing,

There are tools out there sort of that we can use when the energy doesn't match ours,

Right?

Like the blanket of protection,

Right?

If you've ever heard of that,

You imagine,

I use this and I've talked about this before,

I use this all the time,

A blanket of protection around myself so that I can go about my day and not have their energy affect me.

So that's kind of,

You know,

And because here's the thing too,

Because I am an empath,

It becomes like another,

There's like another layer to that,

You know?

When you're an empath and you're dealing with all sorts of energy coming at you all the time,

The blanket of protection is great,

But you need to own that you,

How you feel,

You know?

You need to own it and that's okay.

It's okay to feel however you feel.

That's kind of my sort of thought process,

Right?

So yeah,

That's the whole thing.

Self care.

It's okay to have self care to utilize.

I don't know if that's the right word.

It's okay to go down the route of self care because here's the thing,

Everybody,

And I learned this years ago and I have to keep relearning it,

Right?

That nobody,

Everybody is in this,

This human experience for themselves,

Right?

Like we're in this for ourselves.

Nobody's going to care about me as much as I do.

I mean that's just reality,

Right?

Nobody's going to care about me as much as I do.

And where is that balance?

That's what we have to find,

Right?

The balance of caring about the world,

Caring about other people,

But also caring about ourselves.

It's okay to care about yourself.

So did that spark some,

That probably sparked some inner feelings,

Didn't it?

But here's the thing.

I've got green on today.

I've got my green candle lit.

It's about love.

You know what it's about?

It's about,

It's about love for everybody else in our lives and it's about love for ourselves,

Right?

So we need to understand that.

It's about love for ourself just as much as it's about love for the world.

And I think it's okay.

My guides tell me to take those few minutes for myself a lot.

So guess what we're meditating on today?

All right,

So I've got my Shruti box and if my voice doesn't give out,

Which it feels like it might,

We'll see how that goes.

Our mantra for today,

I am so excited.

This is one of my favorite mantras.

It's Om Mani Padme Hum.

And we've done this one before if you've been with me before.

Om Mani Padme Hum.

And what that means is,

If you're not familiar with it,

It means praise to the jewel of the Lotus,

Right?

So what does that mean?

Basically the way I like to describe it is this.

The Lotus flower sits on top of the water,

Right?

But guess what?

Its roots go deep,

Deep down into the pond or the body of water.

And they go down into the mud.

And that is where it feeds from.

That is where it grows from,

Right?

So when we think about that,

That makes me almost emotional.

That kind of makes me emotional.

When we think about the beauty comes from learning and comes from all the muck that's underneath is that when we grow and we learn from that,

That's where the beauty is.

So that's what we're meditating on today.

And that's what Om Mani Padme Hum is.

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

Yeah,

Get yourself comfortable.

You can be seated,

Laying down,

Whatever.

Doesn't really matter.

And close your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.

Very good.

And we are going to start off with a beautiful deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.

So breathe in and release it.

Perfect.

Very good.

Doesn't that feel great?

Just releasing that tenseness or whatever it is,

Just releasing it and breathing in the beauty and the joy and the gratitude.

What are you grateful for today?

Do we know?

There's got to be at least two things that you are grateful for.

And I want you to think about those.

I am grateful for this beautiful community that we have created where we get to share and we get to be ourselves with.

I love that.

Absolutely beautiful.

So our mantra for today,

As I said,

Om Mani Padme Hum.

And we are going to chant it.

Now you can sing along with me or you can hum or you can just listen.

It's about the vibration.

It's about the vibration.

I was Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Mani Padme Hum Om Mani Padme Hum Let's begin to bring our awareness back to our bodies.

Beautiful.

Let's take a nice deep breath in,

Breathing in everything that we just,

That we just took in with this beautiful mantra.

So breathe in,

Hold it and release.

Whenever you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.

You can feel my body vibrating.

I don't know about you guys.

But it's all okay.

We are all works in progress.

That's what I kept getting during that,

During that meditation.

I just kept getting.

We are all works in progress.

So I appreciate each and every one of you.

Thank you so much for joining.

From my heart to yours.

Namaste.
