Good morning everybody.
Welcome to Monday morning meditation.
It might not be Monday when you're hearing this,
But you know we try.
I hope everybody was at least able to.
.
.
I don't even know what to say about this weekend.
I just,
You know,
When I was thinking about what I wanted to talk about this morning or meditate on,
The only thing that came to me was peace.
Peace.
That's all we have.
That's all we can do.
That's all we can feel to make a difference right now.
In our own place is what I'm talking about.
I'm talking about spiritually.
I'm not talking about,
You know,
In the world.
You know,
This weekend I think I experienced every emotion that was actually possible to experience.
I mean,
It just.
.
.
Every emotion.
I mean,
The highs,
The watching the space ship.
I don't even know if you call it a shuttle anymore,
But you know,
The space rocket ship,
Whatever,
Go up into space.
And then the lows,
Which we all know had to do with the the riding and the protesting and all that stuff.
Some of it,
You know,
Well whatever.
I don't.
.
.
I'm not gonna get into like a political discussion about it,
Obviously,
Right?
But I will say this.
I don't want us to lose out on peace.
I think peace is so important right now and it's it's peace that we need to see and feel,
Right?
So that's why today,
Oh my gosh,
And you guys,
I am a little bit nervous.
I am a little bit nervous because I am,
Again,
I have,
As far as my actual meditation goes,
I haven't planned anything because I left it up to Spirit and I am going to channel today.
And hopefully,
Hopefully we will be on a.
.
.
It will be beautiful.
I've brought my drum in because Spirit told me to do that this morning and yeah.
So,
Oh boy,
Okay.
So the goal of my meditation today,
Because you know,
Like I said,
I was very concerned about doing,
Saying the right thing and that's when I thought,
You know what,
I'm gonna leave it up to Spirit.
Spirit knows what I'm supposed to say,
When I'm supposed to say it,
Who's supposed to hear it,
All of that.
So that being said,
The Sanskrit word for peace is shanti.
So what I'm going to do today is I am going to play my drum for you.
Everything will be channeled.
I may speak,
I may not.
But what I'd like for you all to do is repeat the mantra shanti.
Shanti is peace and,
You know,
Peace in the world.
It could be peace in my,
In my thoughts right now.
Peace can be wherever you need it to be.
But I feel like right now what I'm supposed to say is that it's peace in our hearts.
We need to have peace in our hearts.
So that's where I want to start with this today.
Okay.
So our mantra today is shanti.
And if you're familiar with it,
Great.
If not,
That's great too,
Because we're all here.
You know,
I do this as more like a beginner type thing.
We don't do big long chants and all that kind of stuff.
That will,
I will be,
Now that I'm on Inside Timer,
We will be,
I will be recording chants and that sort of thing for the future.
So,
So anyway,
I want us all to get to a really comfortable spot.
Okay.
I want you all to be very,
Very comfortable today.
I want you all to be comfortable and try to,
I know this might be difficult,
Try to clear your head and try to,
Try to allow yourself to just be,
If that's even possible.
Right.
It's Monday morning.
Aside from everything else going on,
It's Monday morning.
But you know what?
That's a great way to start out our week.
Right?
Peace,
Peacefully,
Right?
So let's gently let our eyes float closed.
And let's take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Really deep,
Filling your lungs and release.
Very good.
And so good.
We're going to do that again.
So let's take a deep breath in through our nose,
Out our mouth.
Breathe in,
Keep breathing in and release.
Perfect.
Now as we get our bodies to the place where we want them to be,
In our comfortable place,
Get our minds in a comfortable place,
Let's start off with some gratitude.
There's always a time when gratitude is appropriate.
So I'd like for us all to think of three things,
Three things that you are grateful for.
I know there's some.
They can be anything that you want.
It's very personal.
That's the thing about gratitude.
It's so personal.
So let's think of three things that we are grateful for.
Are you grateful for the cooler weather?
Are you actually grateful that you woke up this morning?
What are you grateful for?
I'm grateful for the fact that I have not one,
But three hummingbird feeders.
It can be anything.
It can be as deep as you want it to be.
It can be as not deep as in hummingbird feeders.
What is it that you are so grateful for?
So our mantra today is shanti.
Shanti in Sanskrit means peace.
And as I play for you and possibly speak again,
I am channeling today's meditation.
We will see where spirit takes us,
Right?
I usually when I meditate on shanti,
I end up doing it as a sing songy way,
But you don't have to do it that way.
You can do it whatever feels comfortable for you.
My favorite way of doing it is shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti,
Where you can whisper it to yourself shanti,
Shanti,
Shanti.
If you find your mind wandering a bit,
You can just gently bring yourself back and feel the peace throughout your body.
So you do so so so so so so so so shanti shanti shanti shanti shanti shanti This bird is showing me a beautiful bird,
A dove,
The absolute symbol of peace.
Showing me the dove flying high in the air.
Singing down the earth.
May we take peace with us all day today.
Because it's peace in our hearts that we need to share.
With those we love.
In the world.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies today.
Start moving our fingers and our toes.
Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.
And just know that spirit will be with us.
Peace will be with us all day in our hearts.
And when you feel comfortable you can open your eyes.
Thank you all so much for joining me today.
Very much appreciated.
I know we went a little bit over time but I just want you all to know how much I appreciate you and I wish you the most peace and most peaceful and beautiful day.
Thank you for joining.
Namaste everybody.
