Full Moon…An Ending & Beginning
by Lauri Albert
Let’s make the most of this full moon by creating intentions AND practicing deep breathing! My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Hi and welcome to In the Flow with Lorie Albert,
A podcast designed to teach us to manifest our best lives in every moment and every day.
Let's give in the flow.
Welcome in.
Namaste everybody.
It's very exciting because tomorrow morning,
The 16th of February at 8.
59 AM is the full snow moon.
And I,
Well you guys probably know this already because I talk about this periodically,
But I love full moons because they make us think about considering the things that are ending in my life,
But yet the possibilities of what the future can bring.
And that's what I love.
It's like pushing out,
Pushing out that old stagnant way of thinking,
You know,
And creating something new.
And you know what's so great is that we go out,
We go through our lives,
Pushing in the old,
Pushing out the old,
Inviting in the new,
All of that stuff.
But this is actual a monthly,
Dare I say it that way,
But a monthly reminder that we need to create new and like reevaluate,
Get rid of the ickiness,
You know,
Those things,
Those stagnant behaviors,
Because we all fall back into that sometimes,
You know,
I mean like that,
That behavior,
I'm just going to say it like this,
Like this is an example of like,
You know,
You go through these times when you feel really good and then all of a sudden you see somebody over there whose life is like fantastic or whatever,
You know,
And then it's like you get that,
You go through this like jealousy thing and you may not realize that it's envy or jealousy or whatever,
But it's there.
And so once a month we get to reevaluate that,
You know,
Push out,
I don't know,
Push out judgment,
Push out like low self-esteem,
You know,
And then invite in some good stuff,
Right?
Let's get rid of some of that old stagnant behavior and invite in some new stuff,
Right?
So this is what we're going to do today.
I want us all before we meditate,
Let's consider something that we,
An intention that we can create for ourselves.
Like what is a really good intention?
And here's the thing,
This is what's so much fun about doing this kind of stuff,
Right?
We can think about,
It can be,
It could be something really dramatic and really big,
Like I'm gonna,
I'm moving to Belize.
I don't know where that came from,
But I'm going to move to Belize or Costa Rica or Spain,
Whatever,
Right?
Or it could be something as small because it doesn't have to be big.
It can be anything.
That's the fun part.
It can be something as small as I'm going to,
Don't ask me why I'm saying this,
But you know,
These things just come to me.
I'm going to like really get into wine and I'm going to learn everything there is to know about Pinot Noir.
It could be anything.
That's my point.
We're going to create an intention.
What is,
What feels good to you today?
Be creative,
Be fun.
It doesn't have to be so big and dramatic and serious.
You know,
When you're creating an intention,
It can be anything.
You could create the intention that you're going to,
You're going to get a dog,
That you're going to get a dog.
You can create an intention that you're going to go for a short walk today.
I mean,
It could be anything.
So what is it for you?
What is it for you today?
What intention can you create for yourself today?
And it could be fun.
It's an intention.
It's joy.
It's excitement.
Love that.
Love,
Love,
Love that.
Okay.
So have we created some intentions?
Right.
All right.
The intention of laughing more.
That's all,
Like,
That's all the world needs.
Can you imagine if the world created the intention of laughing more today?
Oh my God,
That'd be so great.
Right.
I love that.
So whatever the intention looks like for you,
It can be joyful.
It could be serious.
It could be stressful.
No,
Not stressful.
You know?
So as we sit and we create these new fun things that we're going to take on,
And you know what's so fun?
We can just take it on for the month,
You know,
Until the next full moon.
Take on,
Create an intention that's real for you.
That's real in your life.
It's going to like motivate you and get you like moving,
You know?
I love that.
Love that.
So what we're going to do is we are going to now,
We're going to meditate in the spirit of this beautiful snow moon,
February snow moon.
The reality is it could be any full moon,
But for today,
For today it's the snow moon.
Oh,
I love that.
You know?
Right.
Okay.
So let's get ourselves comfortable because let's meditate on this.
Right?
Let's meditate.
Okay.
So this is what we're going to do.
We're going to get ourselves comfortable.
We are going to close our eyes,
Sit,
Sit however it feels right for you.
Don't have to worry about hand mudras and sitting cross-legged.
None of that stuff matters.
Whatever is right for you.
If you like sitting cross-legged,
Please do.
But right now we're going to sit in the stillness.
And if it's possible,
Maybe light a candle.
There's something about the energy of the fire from a candle that is just so empowering.
Right?
So light a candle if you can.
And let's sit back and relax a little bit.
Relax our bodies.
As we go into this meditation,
Let's monitor our breath and keep the breath steady.
Steady in and steady out.
Breathing in and out.
As we begin to normalize our breath in a steady flow of in and out,
We begin to think about all those things,
People,
Feelings,
Habits,
Thought patterns that we want to release.
We've learned from all of those things.
And we are so thankful for those lessons.
And how we say to ourselves the following,
I release all that does not serve me.
I release fear.
I release doubt.
Doubt of myself.
Doubt of others.
And I release all those feelings of unworthiness,
Jealousy,
Judgment,
Love.
Lack of confidence.
And now I'd like for us to envision the intention that we just created.
Let's consider all of the aspects to this intention.
What it feels like to have whatever it is.
What it looks like.
What it smells like,
Possibly.
Seeing the excitement of possibility.
Possibility for our future.
And all that we create for it.
So now repeat silently to yourself after me.
I invite into my being possibility.
I invite in freedom.
And gratitude.
And abundance.
My possibilities are endless.
And I believe that whatever I can dream,
I can create.
I invite in love.
And joy.
And I invite in peace.
Peace that I feel throughout my body.
And peace in my mind.
Now let's sit in the stillness for just a few minutes.
Keeping our breath steady.
But uh.
.
.
You you Let's start bringing our awareness back to our being and our bodies in the chair we're sitting in.
Namaste.
