Welcome to In the Flow,
A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.
We will laugh,
Cry,
Meditate,
And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,
Meditation,
Prayer,
And the afterlife.
And hello and welcome in.
So truth bomb.
Don't you love when I start out with that,
Right?
I've been pretty darn off these last few days.
Like off.
Like very weirdly off.
I hate that some days I wake up and I am like,
I've got this and I'm super happy and excited and then other days I wake up and I'm just like super tired and it's like that tired that's not from a lack of sleep.
It's that tired of like,
You know,
Just being or whatever.
Right?
So yeah,
That was me yesterday.
And this is so cool and I am so fortunate that I was able to do this.
But at one point yesterday,
I mean,
I was not feeling like right yesterday,
You know,
It just spiritually,
It doesn't have anything to do with like,
You know,
Body.
I was tired,
But you know,
It's this sort of thing.
Right?
So yesterday I was able to lay down and sit and just lay and just be and meditate.
So fortunate.
But the interesting thing before that was that I had a class with David G and he mentioned and it just,
You know how when somebody,
Somebody,
All,
Somebody time,
All,
Sometimes somebody has to do is make a mention,
A quick gloss over of something.
Right?
And it just clicks and it rocks your world.
Right?
Well,
That's what happened with me with David G yesterday.
We were in the class and he said,
You know,
Sometimes when you're feeling just off,
You just need to go back to the basics and start fresh.
And all of a sudden that just dawned on me that that is exactly what I needed to do.
Right?
So that's what we are doing today.
We are going to go back to the basics,
You know,
Of meditation.
We are going to concentrate on our breath.
We're going to go back to the basics.
And here's the funny thing.
I know I'm not alone in how I'm feeling.
Right?
I have had so many people tell me that they are just feeling a little bit off.
Now I do know that we are heading into this sort of,
As this lady that I follow,
She calls it the eclipse season.
And so I know that energy kind of changes when that's like starting.
So I don't know if it's related to that because I'm not an astrologer,
But I just find it interesting.
You know,
The energy changes of everything going on in the world,
Our world,
And the planets,
And the universe,
All of the universes,
All of that.
Right?
It's very,
Very fascinating to me.
But anyway,
So we are headed back to the basics today.
And guess what?
That's such a great lesson.
Even though we're going to sit and go back in a minute to the basics of meditation,
That's such a great way of being just like in general.
What if you're feeling off,
You're feeling weird,
Things aren't right,
Blah,
Blah,
Blah.
What if you went back to the basics and just started fresh,
That whole thing,
Right?
So yesterday when I was able to take that time,
I did like an hour,
Hour and a half long meditation yesterday afternoon.
And it changed everything.
It rocked everything for me because again,
I went back to the basics.
I sat in silence and stillness for a period of time and it just,
It's like it was a big reset,
You know?
So anyway,
So that is what we are going to do today.
When you're feeling off,
When things are happening,
Let's do this together.
Let's be together and do this together.
We can reset ourselves.
Right.
Okay.
So let's get ourselves comfortable.
Perfect.
Get yourself comfortable,
You know,
Feet flat on the floor or cross-legged,
Whatever feels the best for you.
Again,
Going back to the basics.
Close your eyes when it feels comfortable and right for you.
And we're going to ground ourselves this morning before we sit in the silence.
So I want you to imagine roots growing out from either the bottom of your feet,
If they're on the floor or your base chakra at the base of your spine.
Okay.
At your root chakra.
Imagine roots coming out from there and going and digging deep into mother earth.
Imagine that those roots are digging deep,
Deep down,
Deep down into the earth.
And now those roots are bringing up to us mother earth energy.
All that beautiful energy from mother earth coming up to us,
To our bodies.
Coming into us through the root chakra and going all throughout our bodies for through all the chakras from our heads to our feet.
Allowing us to feel that sense of steadiness,
Of groundedness.
And as we start to feel that energy,
That beautiful,
Calming,
Soothing,
Grounding energy go throughout our entire body.
Let's consider what we are grateful for today.
What are you grateful for?
Just a few things.
Few things in your life that bring you joy,
That bring you happiness.
All those wonderful things in our lives that bring us the joy and gratitude and fill our hearts with beautiful joy.
So for today's meditation,
We are going to sit in the silence and stillness.
No mantra,
But I want us to focus on our breath.
The beautiful flow of the in breath and that split second pause and then the exhale.
That is our meditation for the day.
I will keep time and let's begin.
Just breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Breathe out.
Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies.
Start to breathe normally if you found yourself in a rhythm.
Just take a nice deep breath in and release.
Perfect.
Can open your eyes whenever you feel comfortable.
So what's great about today's meditation is it is back to basics.
There are so many different ways that we can meditate,
But this is in all of the ancient texts this is the sort of main way,
The main vehicle to peace.
Sometimes that's all we need.
Go back to basics.
Thank you so much for joining today and always remember when in doubt go back to the basics and sit in the silence and stillness just for a few minutes.
All righty then.
From my heart to yours,
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Namaste.
