Everyone deals with fear once in a while. How we react to challenges is what creates our lives. We’ve got this! My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Welcome to In the Flow,

A positivity-provoking podcast designed to lift us up to that higher place to live our best lives.

We will laugh,

Cry,

Meditate,

And discuss any and all things spiritual to learn and remove any stigma surrounding spiritual gifts,

Meditation,

Prayer,

And the afterlife.

So my question for today,

Have you ever had a day when you question literally every choice you've ever made?

So as always,

I promise to bring my life and the lessons I learn on a daily basis to these quick talks,

Meditation.

So today,

I have a quick little message on fear.

Fear has gripped me,

As it does a lot of people.

I'm certainly not alone in this.

It's gripped me my whole life in certain ways.

And like I said,

I think it does that to a lot of people.

But what I want to share is this.

This past week,

I have been dealing with fear associated with beginning something new,

Stepping outside my known way of doing things,

And a couple of new things that I'm doing.

There's a fear associated with that.

So what I decided to do was create a new way of dealing with that fear for myself.

So this is my new relationship to fear.

I've created this new way of doing it.

So basically what I'm going to do is I am going to not allow it to take over my being.

And when I notice that I am in a place of fear,

Because sometimes we don't even realize we're in a place of fear.

So when I realized that I'm in this place of fear,

I decided what I'm going to do is I'm going to take just a small baby step instead of jumping wholeheartedly in.

Because honestly,

Sometimes I become like a no person because the fear just gets me.

So I'll be like,

Oh,

No,

No,

No,

Or maybe but no,

You know what I mean?

So instead of just saying,

Oh my God,

I'm a yes person now,

Because that's overwhelming too,

I decided I'm going to take baby steps.

And I'm just going to step a little bit into that discomfort zone,

Stepping out of my comfort zone into the discomfort zone.

So that's what I'm going to do.

And I realized that along with that,

This is actually kind of cool.

I am going to,

I found this sort of little phrase that sort of tweaks me,

You know,

And everybody has their own.

But I wanted to share this with you guys.

Because when faced with trying something new or doing something different out of my comfort zone,

What happens is you kind of go you step back,

Right?

Well,

I decided that what's the worst that could happen?

Right?

So that's what my new little phrase is for myself.

Right?

So my new little thing for myself is take a little baby step into the unknown and say,

What is the worst that could happen?

You know,

I mean,

There's not huge life things.

This is just things to further my,

You know,

Career,

So to speak.

Right?

So what's the worst that could happen?

Oh well,

You know,

So we're going to meditate on this today.

What do you guys think?

This is our meditation for today.

So we know we can step outside of our comfort zone.

Right?

So that's what we are going to do today.

We are going to embrace the fear and step outside the fear.

I'm not going to embrace the fear.

That's not the right way.

I want to say that.

Right?

We are going to understand that we are in fear and take that step to not allow it affect our entire being.

Right?

So let's get ourselves comfortable because we're going to meditate.

So you can get comfortable however you choose.

You can be laying down,

You can sit,

You can lean back,

Whatever is comfortable for you.

A lot of times I have a blanket with me.

Right?

A blanket or a chair,

Whatever works for you because David G talks a lot about this.

Comfort is queen.

And what we're trying to do is build that muscle.

Continue continue continue on with our 10 to 15 minutes a day.

Right?

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

And I want you to close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.

Close your eyes.

Get relaxed.

Allow yourself to sink in the chair and relax your body.

Very good.

Now let's take a nice deep breath in through our nose and then hold it.

So deep breath in.

Hold it,

Hold it.

Allow it to go through your body and release.

Awesome.

Very good.

There was nothing like the first or the last deep breath of the day.

So let's do that again.

Let's take another deep breath in.

And release.

Perfect.

As we get ready to sit in stillness for just a few minutes,

I want to take this time,

Just a minute to ask the question of gratitude.

What are,

And you don't have to name them anywhere,

Just inside your head,

What are three things that you are absolutely grateful for?

What are a few things that just make you so happy in your life?

Very good.

Three things that maybe bring a smile to your face.

And this is deeply,

Deeply personal.

So it can be anything you want.

It could be a cup of coffee that you're grateful for,

Or it could be your family.

It could be anything you choose.

Perfect.

So our mantra for today as we sit in the stillness,

Our mantra for today is this,

Today I choose courage.

It's an affirmation that we're going to say over and over again as we sit in the stillness.

If you lose the mantra,

You forget what you're supposed to say,

It's all okay.

Just push it to the side and come back and concentrate on your breath.

We will sit in the silence for just a few minutes.

And you never worry,

I will keep the time.

And let's begin.

Today I choose courage.

Today I choose courage.

Today I choose courage.

Today I choose courage.

Arrival.

.

.

Since we talk.

Let's start bringing our awareness back to our bodies,

The chair we're sitting in.

Let's take a nice deep breath in and release.

Perfect.

Whenever you feel comfortable,

You can open your eyes.

Awesome.

It's beautiful.

Very good.

So I'm super excited that we did this today.

Stepping outside in that place of fear or from that place of fear.

Meditate for even just a few minutes.

So thank you for joining me from my heart to yours.

Namaste.
